I don't think Tony will take the 24/7, stressful, away-from-family job.
Reasons? Health and family. Stress is one of the worst things for those with Tony's problem. Being away from spouse and children is one of the worst things for family.
I believe Tony will put these considerations over his desire for the job.....if he even would want it in the first place.

Bush needs someone that can respond to questions while looking at the cameras. Ann Coulter has the wit and camera experience to do this kind of PR work and she is usually well prepared for the many questions that come with the job.
Rice will be the next to resign, while Rumsfield will most likely hang on to the end.
