I was in Norman, OK. Having recently graduated college, I was attending a job fair. As I was leaving, I overheard someone say it was "all over the news." I knew that I would soon find out what "it" was. I went home, my roommate was glued to the TV. He told me my mom just called, that my father was fine (he worked several blocks away), but that his car may have been destroyed (turns out, the car was fine). I still had no idea what was going on, but through the course of days and weeks a glimpse of the truth started to emerge.
I did not pay attention to the calendar today--I forgot it was April 19th. I now work about five blocks from the memorial. I think I will visit it today.

Doing the same thing I was on 911.........watching FoxNews Channel. 2 of the most horrible days of my life. I must admit, Muslims never came to mind......just who in the world would do something like this.

You remember the Philippines? It's where the US Army developed the requirements for the Colt .45, as the .38's simply didn't stop the møøselimb extremists.
More recently it's where the "Bojinka" plot to simultaneously bomb a dozen or so passenger aircraft was hatched.
Bojinka evolved into the 9/11 plot.
Thank God there was no møøselimb connection to the Murrah blast though.

I was at work listening to then president Clinton blaming right wing talk show hosts for it. Nothing much has changed. Besides, we know that Muslims -- who practice a religion of peace -- would never commit a savage act like bombing civilians and helpless infants.
We now know that talk radio was not the culprit. We know that some 'lily whites' were into up to their eyeballs, but we also know that there were lots of leads and connections to the Middle East and the Phillipines where, remarkably, Muslins are present in huge numbers.
But I'm sure that's just a coincidence.
