Next to global warming ADHD is the biggest fraud sold to the american people. It is just an outgrowth of the emasculation of the west. Schools do not know how to handle boys, so they drug them. My son was labeled with ADHD and like ignorant parents we put him on drugs. Now he is dead, most likely from the drugs. Boys understand fear and when we all understand and accept that; ADHD go bye bye.

The overworked tag is a destroyer of people and the drugs are worse so far as I am concerned. Our 7 grandchildren are homeschooled so that the label and the drugs could not be attached to any of them.

I am certain that each of them will function just fine in their jobs, their world and their homes because they weren't on drugs or decimated with labels.

So far the eldest who began her science labs as a 16 year old high school student at NCState is at Oxford to further her science education. She carried a double major and added a third major once she entered University.

A brother now 17 has also been at State since he was 16 so that he could take Chinese and math courses (that he is acing). And this is the child who would stand on his head in another room (during his elementary schooling time) while his Mother read to the four children but could answer any question about the text. He is a ranked paint ball contestant. He is headed toward Physics when he enters college.

Another sister is acing German and math at a community college (whose standards are higher than NCState for entrance) as an added prep because her concentration has been on ballet and arts during her high school years.

The fourth female is 14 and has written two books and illustrated one.

Since I have been trained to test for ADD et al I will tell you that the school systems would delightedly have destroyed any of them which is why I urged their parents to go the home schooled route. And why I am eternally grateful for children who are willing to put themselves out to educate their progeny. I am just as proud of the remaining 3 who are younger and therefore not as much "proof of the pudding" but equally active and capable. What you can label at grade 3 or 4 can be mitigated by grade 11 if someone works at it and keeps away from ineptly stupid labels that only provide excuses.
