LOS ANGLES - The hoopla over the baby girl born Tuesday to Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes recalls another highly anticipated birth 53 years ago - arguably, one of the most covered births of the 20th century.
Actually it was two births - one in a hospital and one on a TV sitcom.
On Jan. 19, 1953, Lucille Ball gave birth to a boy named Desiderio Arnaz IV at Cedars of Lebanon hospital in Los Angeles.

I found this much more interesting than the current story.

On Jan. 19, 1953, Lucille Ball gave birth to a boy named Desiderio Arnaz IV at Cedars of Lebanon hospital in Los Angeles. Made all the more interesting because Robert E. Lee, Edgar Allan Poe, Paul Cezanne, Janis Joplin, Dolly Parton, and I share this great birthday.

Why is it I feel like I'm watching a train wreck in slow motion with all this nonsense about liberals procreating?

The hoopla over the baby girl born Tuesday to Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes...Hoopla?
Does anybody really give a rat's ass?
I mean, here we got a silly little twit of a girl, with no real will of her own, mesmerized by a suspected faggot that practices what has to be the stupidest so-called religion in the history of the world, having a baby, and there's Hoopla?
Give me a break.

Given Tom's M.O., this relationship will last about 4 years, and then he'll be shacking up with a young b-list actress looking to jump to the bigtime.
Katie will have pictures all over the womens magazines at the supermarket checkout isle with a caption like, "How Katie overcame (list of the traumas), found true love with (insert some other hollywood actor) and became a hero".

Did Tom eat the placenta?
Was she allowed an epidural?
That's all I read about this "birth". It's not on my top ten list of important events.
