I'm not Catholic, but I had profound respect for Bishop Sheen. His love for Jesus was very obvious.

Tony tried to listen rather than lecture, HE might learn something Actually this advice applies in spades to the Anti Illegal activists. They simply start screaming at anyone who doesn't mindlessly agree with their narrow dogma. Maybe instead of screaming bile at Tony, you might listen and REFUTE him with facts. "This show is a one trick pony" is not refutation, it is just name calling.
There is far too much name calling and ranting, far too little thinking being done by the Anti Illegals crowd. It makes thinking Freepers wonder what the REAL agenda is here. Alot of the posting and rhetoric from the Anti Illegals sounds too much like mindless emotional hate for Illegals rather then rational advocacy for real Immigration Reform plans. That hurts the credibility of all the Anti Illegal crowd

Will do. Thanks. I'm always for constructive criticism.
My comment was directed at Old Bill, not you.

"As for the limousine Republican idiocy, you've got the wrong guy."
Wow. You can tell that much about a person just by what car they drive? What an asinine argument. Sounds like someone is a little jealous. Maybe you would prefer the government to hand out $51,000 cars to everyone? Or maybe everyone should just drive around $1,000 rust-buckets just so others who cannot afford $51,000 cars are not offended.

The Rule of Law to you is a "narrow dogma"? Or if you split the debate into a thousand little bits you can forget for a while that the entire debate is about a crime? Let's argue until we forget a massive crime has been (is being) committed.
You should not get lost in dogmatic outlooks yourself, my FRiend.

I had to leap 100 posts +/- ahead to say this guy is great. There is no credibility to any leader of either party or any race who does not hold everyone to the same standards.
Hope this guy calls back often.

When you combine the state levels, which are higher, the totals for illegal immigrants in our prisons and jails increases to over 30%. Absolutely correct. If you look at the report by the GAO, it hints at the costs outlayed for "criminal illegal aliens" (of course, being an illegal alien is, by definition, "criminal").
State Prisons
How many incarcerated:
Fiscal year 2002SCAAP reimbursed all 50 states for incarcerating about 77,000 criminal aliens.
Fiscal year 2003SCAAP reimbursed 47 states for incarcerating about 74,000 criminal aliens.
5 state prison systems incarcerated about 80 percent of these criminal aliens in fiscal year 2003Arizona, California, Florida, New York, and Texas.
Country of citizenship:
Data on citizenship of criminal aliens reimbursed through SCAAP [State Criminal Alien Assistance Program] not available. [This is because citizenship is NOT inquired into by the state/local jails....but that's a whole other story; see, for example: States/localities often do not know with certainty the citizenship and/or immigration status of inmates. On the other hand, States/localities are only required to verify foreign birth--not to query inmates about nationality or citizenship. Therefore, when in doubt, jurisdictions have an incentive to submit costs for inmates of questionable nationality...]
In mid-2004, most of the foreign-born inmates for the 5 state prison systems with the most criminal aliens were born in Mexico (60 percent).
BTW, the President has cut from his 2007 budget, funding for the SCAAP.

A so now you add the typical Socialist Class War ranting to your preaching. Seem to me you rhetoric sounds a lot more like something a Moveon.org type would say then what a Conservative would think. Sorry but with 4.7% Unemployment your ranting about the "Illegals depressing the wages" is obviously a propaganda talking point not fact.
