Brigadier John and Sue Palmer defended the army's role. You rarely hear stories like this. It's time we heard more of them.

Do you have conservative radio shows over there? Bring this to the attention of the host of such a show. There must be a growing market for rebuttal to state-run radio such as the BBC.

RIP, Lt Richard Palmer. And God Bless his parents, Brigadier John and Sue Palmer.

I saw this on the BBC news on the local Washington DC PBS station last night. It really surprised me that BBC would carry such a blatant disagreement with its official 'hate the war and the warriors' position.

You rarely hear stories like this. It's time we heard more of them. You're absolutely right. I respect and admire that couple, proud parents of a hero, and may God grant them comfort and healing in their loss.

We should forward this to Cindy Sheehan, not that she would actually get it.

Thanks for this story, MadIvan. Such reports tell us of the brave men who serve and who unfortunately die in this service. We also learn of their courageous parents who, through their tears, still can find the strength to go before the press and defend their sons' role in this war.
God bless them all.

God bless them. And their brave Scots Dragoon. Time to break out Mansions of the Lord:

THE parents of a British soldier killed in a roadside bomb attack in Iraq have issued a staunch defence of the army's role in rebuilding the country.
