99-percent of the time, I take my kids from the car while I go into a store.
However, I must admit to a few times where I left a baby sleep just to run in to a store for less than a minute, but ONLY at a store (7/Eleven or WaWa) where I have a full view of the car thru the front windows the entire time, and of course I always lock the car.
Any more than a minute and I take the kids, or if I'm not certain I can see the car the entire time.
In THIS woman's case, 20 or more minutes inside a Kroger is entirely OUT OF THE question.

...the more straps required to remove the seat.I have three child car seats and they all have a quick release button which allows you to pick up the top half, with the baby still sleeping, and carry it away like a portable baby carrier.
I presume they are used throughout the entire free world.

Oh, you completely read me wrong! You better believe that I was left in the car as a kid (My mom was convinced that no one would steal a van with six squealing brats)and rode a bike with no helmet... I'm sure that if anyone today knew what we did then, My parents would be locked up for abuse, neglect, and all that jazz. But that's a different topic all together!
What got me, is that she forgot about her child! That's just unacceptable, disgusting, selfcenterd, and wrong. That's why the child should be taken away, not because she left him in the car.

That's why I didn't have kids. I would have been doing this all the TIME.

It's amazing any of us lived past the age of ten without these do-gooders and safety-fascists there to protect us?
