Bill Oreilly was complaining about the outgoing CEO of Exxon Mobil making too much money and Cavuto pointed out that Oil Company CEOs provide a much bigger service to society then talk show hosts who also make millions...Bill was speechless.
Absolutely. And during this CEO's tenure, profits increased 500%. A wonderful return.
Or maybe fire Alan Colmes instead.
That would be a good idea except than it would not be fair and balanced which is what Fox preaches. We have to put up with the one token liberal for the network to keep saying that.
LOL! I wish I still TiVoed BOR, just to see that.
Hume, Cavoto and maybe Smith are pretty much the only shows on FNC worth watching. I gave up on Bill at least 4 years ago.
Yeah, right. I am afraid old Lou is a dope. Amen.
Cavuto is one of the bright spots at Fox, IMO. I also like Dobbs' rants on immigration - he's one of the few covering that and hammering the point home.
O'Reilly's rants are getting pretty old, and I could definitely do without Greta - most of what she covers is National Enquirer journalism with little or no applicability to the national scene.
Why?
Cavuto is brilliant and Dobbs is right at home politically at CNN.
Let's face it. It is obscene. The hard part is figuring out a way to remedy the situation.
Almost a 1/2 billion dollars! as a going away gift? Well we're paying $2.70 at the pump this week for regular. Where will the $400 million come from? ...an American success story.
When people repeat these thoughtless sentiments it just shows how low general education has fallen. The notion of "distribution" of income as if this is an option for "America" is just plain silly. Where did you get the idea? How does the profits of an oil company become the subject for discussion, and how do you imagine that their allocation is a fit subject for those other than the owners of the company? Did someone indeed ask you?
The impertinence is amazing. The fact that you are among the many who mindlessly repeat such nonsense is not a defense. The motivation appears to be simple larceny.
"Where will the $400 million come from?'
Please take the time to learn business. The pay comes out of shareholder profits. this is completely between the shareholder elected board and the management. if you don't like it don't own the stock. XOM can only charge what the market price is. What it spends is a salaries is separate issue. $400 million is a pittance for the wealth this man has created for his share holders. How much wealth have you created for YOUR share holders?
I don't recall saying that - mostly because I don't like the word 'capitalist' and rarely use it - and even if I'm not remembering using it, I know for a fact you just dishonestly lifted my comment completely out of whatever context I made it in.
I know you did because my opinion on this subject has been unwavering and consistent for many years.
If you can show me the quote where I directly contradict myself then put up, otherwise shut up and stop telling lies about my opinions.
To BOR:
So you think Brazil has it right growing sugar to fuel cars. Does you have any idea how much polution this would create in the U.S.? I'm no ecofreak but I do love to fish and the biggest poluter in Florida is Big Sugar. They are also one of the most subsidized industries in the country.
LOL... so true, so true.
As some guy said yesterday on Rush...That's 1.33 from each driver FOR ONE DAY!....Gotta get some perspective B4 U (OReilly)open mouth.....
Cavuto is the smartest financial commentator on television.
I don't recall saying that - mostly because I don't like the word 'capitalist' and rarely use it - and even if I'm not remembering using it, I know for a fact you just dishonestly lifted my comment completely out of whatever context I made it in.(all irate and filled with righteous indignation) *snicker*
Wow, you covered both sides with that statement. That's like saying, I didn't punch you in the face with my fist...your face hit my fist. Well, that must have been one of your rarrrrrrrrre times, huh?
If you can show me the quote where I directly contradict myself then put up, otherwise shut up and stop telling lies about my opinions.
Hey, I live to serve.
