MIAMI -- Lionel Tate's lawyer said Monday that his client will not follow his legal advice and he has filed a motion to withdraw as the teen's attorney stating irreconcilable differences between them.

Ellis Rubin, Tate's attorney, would not give specific reasons for his decision. ``He will not follow my legal advice,'' Rubin said. ``I tried to reconcile our differences this morning and he refused.'' Rubin said he filed the motion Friday in Broward County Circuit Court.

Lionel Tate's lawyer said Monday that his client will not follow his legal advice and he has filed a motion to withdraw as the teen's attorney stating irreconcilable differences between them.

Tate is on probation for the 1999 killing of 6-year-old Tiffany Eunick, a neighbor his mother was babysitting. His lawyers initially claimed the killing was an accident caused when Tate imitated pro wrestling moves he'd seen on television.

Those wacky teens. Always getting into scrapes of one kind or another.

Early on, he showed up that he's not worthy of walking among civilized people.

He stold his mom's gun and used it for a hold up. They should have left him in jail. What a waste of my money.

I seem to remember reading that Tate's mother worked as an officer for the Florida Highway Patrol. Anyone know if she still does? This kid seems to be a idiot of the first sort and just asking to be put away for a long time. Shame, too!

They had better send him back to prison to finish the life sentence before he kills someone else.

I read somewhere that she is no longer a police officer. I believe it was when he was arrested for this robbery.

If Ellis Rubin won't represent you, nobody will. He likes high profile cases and he always loses.

I just checked and it looks like she's still on the Florida Highway Patrol.

I heard that his mother has enabled this ... since he was a child, always making excuses for him. Nothing was ever his fault. It was his teachers, other students, the system, violent pro wrestling but never her sweet, adorable Lionel. And isn't he a handsome, beautiful boy brimming with intelligence?

I can believe that. During the trial in the case of the little girl the mother kept saying it had to be an accident because her boy would never do such a thing.

The medical testimony in the trial was much different, they said the poor girl's injuries were such that there was no way it was an accident.

Ellis Rubin is a publicity ambulance chaser with no morals.
He would take on sadam or adolph as a client to further his career.
If this turd rubin wants out, Tate is toast, and should be.

At the time of trial, prosecuters offered a deal wheras the kid would have gone to kiddy jail til of legal age and his smart mom refused to accept it. Hope that doesn't indicate how smart all florida highway patrol folks are.
Not my baby, he wouldn't do that.
