These groups have a poor grasp of American-Mexican History. The SW was not settled by Mexicans... the Indians were here first followed by the Spaniards (Escalante, Dominguez, etc.) who laid down settlements in the area and much later for a very short time it was under rule from Mexico City, which was so apathetic about the region that the inhabitants were thrilled to finally be allowed to join the USA.
That means all of the Mexican Soap Opera stars must go.

Throughout history, one of the consequences of losing wars is the loss of land and territory. The United States and Mexico fought a war. Mexico lost the war, so they lost what is now a large part of the US. They have absolutely no claim to it.
