I tried a protest vote one year.... and Bill Clinton got elected!

Why would do a protest vote in a Presidential election! You do these "teach you a lesson" things during the off-year elections. If we go and vote for Republicans in this election, then they will think that their liberalism and/or spinelessness is condoned. Then you will have our party bosses pushing for McCain, Dole, or some other RINO like Bush to be nominated again.

One of the biggest reasons why we have just the "two" major parties is because they are terrific at playing off of everyone's fears. 'Vote for us, because if you don't the guys from the other party will ruin everything.' Never mind the fact that both parties will essentially do the same thing regardless, but at least it is "my" party that's doing it.

If people would vote their conscience, instead of the party line, this country would be much better off. Most people have become too indoctrinated into the "two" party mentality though.

Exactly, let's try this party out in some more localized elections, I realize their appeal is being for smaller federal government (as indicated by their platform and name) however, they need to start at the beginning. If they do well, perhaps this or something similar (a blending of the two parties) would be in order. I do believe this party executes our Constitution as stated, but many things have changed since then

I voted for Ross Perot. I liked what he told me about immigration and NAFTA (remember the "giant sucking sound"?). The Dems stayed home and kicked Bush senior's butt. I didn't like what the Republicans were telling me and I elected to go with a third party. Since the Dems are too entrenched to even think outside the box, they won by default. I'll never make that mistake again.

Very well said. Seems to if the Republicans don't shed a lot of blood they don't learn a damn thing.

Vote for them in off year elections?

Just exactly how many Constipation party members will be on the House/Senate ballots this year? Three or four?

With all due respect, most people aren't stupid enough to waste their vote on a Constipation party candidate.
