Norm, here's a Google Earth image of the White House grounds. The South Lawn is in the lower part of the image. You can see the area is very large.

Awesome picture...I LOVE Google Earth. It's like being Superman, flying over the country and the world.
I didn't realize just how large the south lawn is.
