I am not sure if the song was written that early or if it was the music the song may have come later.

That looks really yummy. My mom keeps giving me jelly beans. I don't like jelly beans. I told her I wanted CHOCOLATE. Sigh...she never listens.

We had a beautiful Mass today, and a young woman with the most gorgeous voice sang one of the hymns. I've often thought that the best singers are in the church choirs and rarely ever in Hollywood or on the stage. I guess the talent agents don't go to church. LOL

A boy about 7 years old was ahead of me in the communion line, and our pastor who is elderly and ill looked down on the little boy with the warmest smile and patted him on the head. The boy walked away with such pride. The pastor's smile for a child made my day.

Jelly beans for Easter? What in a tub or packet I can understand with an egg but just jelly beans seems a strange Easter treat.

That's odd.....I have home movies of my sister, me and my brother hunting Easter eggs in a field off an old RAF base in Manchester.....when we were stationed there...I still remember the wild buttercups growing in that field.....

My parents just give us candy for Easter. This year we got jelly beans, Skittles, and the mini Hershey bars. And, of course, a big chocolate bunny which I'm working on eating right now.

Dad says he remembers Easter egg hunts when he was young but I never had one we were into large and which I know appreciate expensive eggs which we all got one of adults and me.

When children do have them now I am not certain if they put them in basket or just a plastic bag will have to ask at work on Tuesday we have a lady who has 2 children.

Most people I know just give the eggs in the boxes though parents may do a hunt but would very rarely put a basket together for a child unless it was in the shop already done.

The Easter egg hunt in Manchester was probably done by the Americans...I'm sure it was the Officer's Club on base....I have always had an Easter basket while growing up and did the same for my two boys...in fact this is the first year I didn't make them one...

So true about those who sing in church, isn't it. Sometimes, they seem to sing like the angels.

Aw, gee! That means you don't get those adorable little yellow chickies with the tiny wire feet that you could perch in the wicker handle of the basket? I ALMOST liked them better than the chocolates.

yes we get those chicks but they are mainly used for cake decoration.

I made some muffins yesterday with apple icing on top and put a chick on each one.

I saw packets of these chicks in the shops and thought I cannot imagine why they would be selling this many chicks as not that many people make their own cakes. Maybe they were intended for Easter Egg hunts.

What I also saw which were sweet were the little chicks in a little basket they were really cute what one was supposed to do with them not sure.
