Facts are such only if they are proven, you are talking faith not facts. That being said,us in the Christian West have the ability to prove for ourselves the facts just as you in the East can, and unfortunately there is no written historical piece from pre-Nicean time to say that Mary Magdalene did as the eastern orthodoxy churchs claim she did, there is however tons of historical evidence of the origins of easter eggs through out much of pre-Christian pagan Europe falling in the time period that much of modern Christianity celebrates Easter.
I suppose next I am going to hear that Jesus had a nice ham-steak with a side of eggs at the last supper to justify eating ham on Easter.
Nope, actually ham became a tradition in Northern Europe only for practical reasons. We eat lamb on Pascha, for symbolic reasons, though even ham is yummy after being off all animal products (except shellfish, and fish on Annunciation day and Palm Sunday) for 49 days.
