[snip]
McCain is clearly happy to be denounced by liberals like me. It reassures conservatives, who (correctly) distrust McCain's popularity with the liberal media and whom McCain needs to make him president. Well, I'm not going to give him the pleasure. Go ahead, senator, flip-flop away. I know you're with us at heart.

He has McInsane nailed to a "T".
As they say, READ THE WHOLE THING!
Very good article, redneck. You're right, he's got McCain nailed as well as anybody I've read.
Good catch bump.
Important addition to the national conversation.
McCain already knows the value of the illegal vote.
The man always looks like he was just really mad about something. Every time I see him on TV he looks like he is just managing to contain himself from an outburst.
Not the kind of kook we want with a finger on the nuclear trigger.
His constant assault on the ability of the people to speak out against candidates was probably his most egregious act. The McCain Incumbent is another telling insight into this walking madman.
Well, it doesn't reassure me. McCain is a traitor to this country. He is a power and money hungry low life. This is all he cares about like so many of our leaders, both in the private world and political world. Until you withhold the money, the graft and greed will continue.
That being said, McCain is also alot like clinton and kerry, in that the objective is to "be president", its a Title not a Job that he longs for, the only result of putting a man like this in power......destruction of the country from within.
Excellent summary of McCain. I would hope that any conservative with a brain wouldn't fall for his posturing.
This excerpt is particularly telling:
"During this time, McCain's advisors openly discussed the possibility of a third-party presidential run. He even flirted with a straight party switch. McCain had Democratic Minority Leader Tom Daschle stay at his home for the weekend. He met privately with several Democrats to consider switching parties, reported the Washington Post. After the Democratic Leadership Council's Will Marshall met to court him, McCain remarked, "I was struck by how much we were in common." Two of his top advisors, John Weaver and Marshall Wittmann, left the GOP and began working for Democrats."
I'd forgotten about this. I amazed that Chalit didn't mention that Kerry offered McCain the VP (not as a Joke) and McCain took a week to say no. Or that Ron Brownstein's wife (liberal) works on his staff.
One more, whenever McCain sounds Conservative on social issues, remember the SC flag issue. He supported keeping the confederate flag during the SC primary. After he lost, he stated the flag was racist, and stated he lied during the primary to get votes.
2008 is shaping up to be the mother of all 'lesser of two evils' elections.
McVain didn't take the hint when he was humbled in a recent GOP strawman poll which put him a distant third behind Bill (I-can-be-a-wimpy-RINO-too) Frist. Apparently his insane ego will drive him to be totally humiliated in the national arena!!!
Can't wait to send him home early by voting against him. AZ - get a clue!! Unload this national embarrassment and millstone around your neck ASAP!!
I will vote for this backstabbing POS when swine sprout wings!

Oh, damn, somebody get this freak off of me!"

"The hunt for the real McCain"
Dang! I didn't know there was a season, How much is a license?
What we are seeing is the real McCain. He is a manic loose cannon. He is hot headed and seems to do and say things out of spite.
