Kristol is a smug, pseudo-intellectual. He claims to know all. I found it amusing that he stated categorically that the President and the Pentagon were not doing any planning for a military option against Iran. I guess he figures he would be informed if that were the case.

The Pentagon has war plans for every conceivable contingency, including Iran. Why does he think we developed bunker busting bombs, nuclear and conventional? Iran has been on the horizon for a long time. Remember when Bush was criticized for his Axis of Evil statement, i.e., Iraq, Iran, and North Korea?
