What about Good Friday?

Schools are out. Many businesses knock off before noon, but it's nothing official.

I think we all assume it is same in other countries as our own.

The Easter holiday is so much part of the British way of life that we find it surprising if someone has to work such as in retail. Of course emergency and essential services are different.

Good Friday was always a strange day because of old religious laws when I was a child if we went to football they were not allowed to have the concession stands open and that was not in history.

I think now this has been changed but there are still a lot of stores etc that do not open on Good Friday.
