Hillary: He thinks I like him but I really like his new wife. She's hot, and I could still be the dominant male just like with Bill.

"Did you hear Brit call Juan Williams "Juany?"
I thought so, but wasn't sure.
My impression was that Brit was close to the limit this morning. There's only about so much idiocy anyone can take and even the calmer heads are approaching it.
This crap about Rummy is beyond the pale, but is (near) brilliantly orchestrated because any criticism of the critics looks (to the great unwashed) like sour grapes. As much as someone should take those bozo's behind the barn and "make their minds right", we know it ain't gonna happen.
The Bush-poll death watch continues and it looks like it's just about all over (snerk snerk!) for our boy! How can he possibly govern without a "mandate"? I guess someone forgot to tell GW, 'cause it looks like he's at the helm to me (insert favorite Bush rant here).
Watching the McLaughlin show was a crack-up! Anytime you have the extreme left (Eleanor Clift) and the extreme right (Pat Buchanan) agreeing (that GW is toast) I have to wonder if it is the end of days. What a couple of bed-wetters! Is there even a possibility that they believe the crap they spew?!

It was a true FNS smackdown with Juan leaping under the table and cowering in fear of Britt.

My idea is that we do the fence/wall (the right way, as you suggest) in conjunction with an expansion of the current Coast Guard into a Home Guard that has responsibility for not only our port and sea lanes but also our borders. Beyond that they would also form the core of a rapid reaction force for either natural disaster or terrorist response.
Look at the spectacular successes they had (ignored by the drive by media) during Katrina.
I'd base the new units on the structure of a Marine Expeditionary Unit and base them at strategic points along our southern border (Yuma, Tucson, El Paso and Laredo, for example). They'd have responsibility for fixed sections of the border but be available to respond to disaster or attacks, as needed. In addition they'd provide the traditional "first responder" role of the Coast Guard, just to land locked areas.
Expanding on the Coast Guard instead of inventing a new organization should solve most of the problems that the gargantuan DHS has run into. The CG has an excellent infrastructure and command structure as well as a wonderful tradition to build on. They also don't fall under Posse Comitatus, so would have full police powers.

You know EC when you are judging the thread you are not supposed to make the post of the day as well but you just did. Since you probably won't nominate yourself I am hoping you give yourself a special award for this post.! It really does say it all and I hope everyone goes to the link and the article and reads it. Great job.

Krauthammer was on Fox a few hours ago...and said that we should start building 1, 2, 3, 4, whatever takes, fences...starting at the Gulf Coast AND the Pacific Ocean at the same time...and when they meet in the middle..
and the last GOLDEN STAKE is hammered in...then, and only then, do we start talking about a way for the millions of illegals that are here NOW becoming citizens or legal.
AND, there will be no more illegals bringing ever family member, aunts, uncles, cousins, neices, nephews, etc.
Sounded like a good plan to me...

Thanks for the links. DEEP, SATISFYING, SHADENFREUDE!!!!!

I don't think we will lose any seats in Texas and if it's possible(I don't know the voting districts) we might pick up some there. People are mad at how DeLay was treated and don't like the tactics of Ronnie Earle.

Didn't Ross come out and endorse the son, though? I do remember Perot saying good things about Dubya.

I read that one the other day it's very slick but on the whole it leans leftward as far as I can tell. Catherine Harris is fighting a noble fight and she needs all the help she can get.
Thanks samantha.

Anything clipworthy? I don't know! I'll make a confession to you.... I stopped watching the shows years ago, due to the efforts of folks on this fine thread, who watched and reported for me. I know since I post the thread to begin with that I should watch, but geeze.....my blood pressure has been much, much better these past few years!
And a Happy Easter to you to!!!!! Every year that I reflect on His Ultimate Sacrifce, done for us that we might escape rightful punishment, I am humbled further.

I thought I heard her say that her show will be "a little left of center, just like me." Compared to her moonbat leftist daughter Ashley, Naomi will probably seem to the Right of Reagan. (well, maybe not)
