IMMIGRATION'S BIG BUSINESS (Senate no longer represents American citizens)
NY POST ^ | 4/16/06 | EDITORIALS

Posted on 04/16/2006 4:02:38 AM PDT by Liz

THE ISSUE: Tightened immigration control and fraudulent means to amnesty. ("Immigration-Fraud Boom," By Abby Wisse Schachter, PostOpinion, April 10).

**** .....the process to get a green card and citizenship...... isn't as cumbersome as that of some other nations. If prospective U.S. citizens don't want to follow this process, they can either stay home or return to their birthplace. It's as simple as that. Cleveland, Ohio

**** ......if the pro-amnesty forces in Washington get their way.......the multitude of illegal aliens in America will simply overload the already overloaded U.S. immigration system. Just the thought that the pro-amnesty senators and President Bush would even consider amnesty shows how dangerously out of touch they are with the workings of their own government and, more importantly, with the lives of average Americans. The Bronx

**** The Senate obviously no longer represents the American citizen. The illegal-alien situation is beyond what we are able to endure. Our social infrastructure, medical system and prison system are overwhelmed. If our senators think that a $1,000 fine will make things right for an illegal, why do they think that Americans should pay many times that amount in taxes? Calabash, N.C.

Yes, I read about Hillry's transformation, her candidacy is under that Bobby Kennedy candidacy "we can do better", whatever it takes. Her methods of becoming supreme ruler remind me of the story of Jezebel.

As for Bush--He is tring to be " A Nice Guy". Leo Dorocher had it right about "Nice Guys".

As for Congress, the Abramoff thing has demonstrated that they are all whores. Give me enough money, and I'll vote for anything.

As for Democrats, Truth in Advertising should make them wear a sign that says "Vote for sale".

As for RINOs, they should have a sign." I pimp for Dems"

None of this will matter. If the dims get in, Bush will be impeached, taxes will go through the roof, the WOT will be cancelled for new FDR styled "Newer Deal" Socialism, and gas will be $6.00 per gallon. No, pubbies may pi$$ you off, but dims will destroy everthing you have ever fought for.. To deny this is to be a FOOL!

Bush has said repeatedly that he is AGAINST amnesty. Pay attention. LOL! He really is against amnesty, no matter what you hear or read from the MSM who are just ignoring his statements.

Sounds like something Slick Willy would say. Amnesty is not amnesty if we call it something else.

The legal American Citizens are getting smacked on the head and they are starting to pay attention.

***Sounds like something Slick Willy would say.***

If there is ANYTHING you can't say against Bush, it is that he is not honest. Even his enemies admit that he is honest and trustworthy. And what are you doing on a conservative site saying that Bush lies?

Define amnesty. Would Bush send the illegals home?

The President has said repeatedly that he is AGAINST amnesty.

If they come out with a bill that grants amnesty will Bush veto it?

Americans are getting sick of all this "hyphenization" of the political process by people who clearly want us to think they are primarily loyal to the foreign government that bred them.....the USA comes last with these hyphenated types.
Real Americans don't use hyphens.

Nonsense! You obviously are anti-immigrant, against both legal and illegal immigrants. I am married to a Patrick Henry American. I say that because my wife prior to her naturalization ceremony went around telling everyone, "Just give me liberty or give me death." She obviously thinks of herself as an American, and lets everyone know it. At the same time she is not ashamed of her country, and knows her heritage is Russian.

Yes. You are right. Bush has promised to sell us out to the "new America" and he is keeping his word.

THE "NEW AMERICAN"

We are now one of the largest Spanish-speaking nations in the world. We're a major source of Latin music, journalism and culture.

Just go to Miami, or San Antonio, Los Angeles, Chicago or West New York, New Jersey ... and close your eyes and listen. You could just as easily be in Santo Domingo or Santiago, or San Miguel de Allende.

For years our nation has debated this change -- some have praised it and others have resented it. By nominating me, my party has made a choice to welcome the new America.

As I speak, we are celebrating the success of democracy in Mexico.

George Bush from a campaign speech in Miami, August 2000.

You can read the speech here.

Here is an excerpt of a good critique of that speech:

In equating our intimate historic bonds to our mother country and to Canada with our ties to Mexico, W. shows a staggering ignorance of the civilizational facts of life. The reason we are so close to Britain and Canada is that we share with them a common historical culture, language, literature, and legal system, as well as similar standards of behavior, expectations of public officials, and so on. Bush has said repeatedly that he is AGAINST amnesty.......................SAID is the operative word. He is IN CHARGE. Why then does he let a Congressman--Joe Baca, DEM, San Bernardino, dictate that Border Patrol CAN NOT pick up Aliens further than 50 miles from the Border? Why then does he let Regional Attorney General Carol Lam dictate to the Border Patrol that she WILL NOT prosecute smugglers? One smuggler was arrested 17 times. Why then are there no investiogations when the Social Security Administration finds that three people are using the same Social Security number, and all three have Hispanic last names? In investigating fraud for insurance companies, I have personally observed this hundreds of times. Number of follow-ups? ZERO! Actions speak louder than political pontificating.

They've already soaked us bigtime, collecting SS benefits, UI, Workmen's Comp (monies taken out of the US, sent home to Mexico), not to mention financially devastating our health care system, welfare system, schools system, and so on, and so forth, ad infinitum, ad nauseaum.

Something I've been wondering about lately, but you very rarely hear about, is that will illegal *** undocumented *** aliens streaming into the country, we have no idea about the health problems that they're bringing with them.

For instance, tuberculosis is making a big comeback, isn't it? And right now, I'm hearing about what some at the state levels are calling an "epidemic" of mumps in Iowa and Kansas. Interestingly enough, both of these states have large populations of illegals working in meat packing plants... Conincidence? I don't know.

It was always called the best government money can buy.

The problem is that back in "the good old days," they only took money from Americans. Now, they just whore themselves out to the highest bidder. And they used to stay bought!
