Kill Em All, Let God (or Allah) Sort Em Out. Not a good slogan. It may be popular and humorous but that is not what the United States Armed Forces are about. We do not kill indiscriminately; we use skill, compassion, intelligence, and maturity to wage war in a manner far more humane than anyone else in history (contrary to what the modern media tries to present). And I do speak from experience being a Vietnam veteran and currently serving with the Special Forces in Afghanistan.

It's funny , things that are funny during a stressful peace, are not funny during a period of actual combat.

If we were as bad as the anti-American media and academics say we are, the Muslims would all be dead, Guantanamo would be full of leftists, and the war would have been over two years ago.
Thank you and God bless you for your service, Semper. My children are being taught to respect men like you.

I speak as a civilian contractor who has been working in Iraq for over two years.
And thank you from the bottom of my heart for your service to our country.

Not a good slogan. It may be popular and humorous but that is not what the United States Armed Forces are about. Perhaps not, but it may be useful in a "good cop, bad cop" strategy. As in "You learn to be nice with me. You do NOT want Bad Cop to be sent in. Really. You do not."

While I agree that is true today, there is the heritage of Curtis LeMay, and others, to consider.
When we occupied Germany and Japan, the populace *knew* they'd been beaten, and needed to straighten up and listen to what the occupying power had to say.
