While millions of the world's Christian's spent Good Friday reaffirming their belief in the divinity of Jesus Christ by somberly observing the Stations of the Cross rite commemorating his crucifixion as an act of faith, anti-American activist Cindy Sheehan, who renounced her Catholic faith and belief in Christ in the wake of the combat death in Iraq two years ago this month of her son, Army Spc. Casey Sheehan, paraded through Crawford, Texas yesterday carrying a large wooden cross on her shoulder as part of an anti-Iraq war protest targeting President Bush in his home town.
Sheehan, who has earned a reputation as a media hound without grace or dignity, sunk to a new low yesterday as an apostate trying to pimp the crucifixion of Jesus in the furtherance of her political ambitions.
As reported less than one month ago in the mainstream press, Sheehan abandoned her faith in Jesus for some universalist clap trap:
Sheehan has been severed from much of her old life -- or she has severed it herself. Her marriage, her job, her home. Loss of most of her friends, whom she cannot forgive for voting to re-elect Bush. Loss of her Catholic faith (a former youth pastor, she has abandoned Christianity and envisions a universal spiritual creator.)
Sheehan and her Marxist handlers realize, however, that most Americans profess Christian faith. Therefore they prey on that majority sentiment by using Christian imagery by erecting rows of crosses denoting soldiers killed in the Iraq war and by having Cindy mock Jesus' crucifixion while wearing an Impeach Bush t-shirt.
There is no 'low' when it comes to Sheehan. Its just a dwindling spiral down into hell.
The largely Southern Baptist population in McLennan County has unwillingly tolerated her disrespect for the president, her disrespect for the people who live in the area, and the three ring circus that accompanies her, but the consensus around here is that she's now crossed a line. She angered a lot of people yesterday.

How do you explain the fact that Pope John Paul II opposed the invasion? I believe the current pope, while still a cardinal, also spoke out against it. Neither of those men is (was) a Marxist, or anti-American.
She is a Gold Star mother. How many of your children have died in Iraq? The fact that she disagrees with you on a matter of public policy -- and that she's exercising her First Amendment freedom to speak -- doesn't make her a "disease." It used to be that only in totalitarian countries was dissent from the government branded a "disease."

She and her fellow bottom-feeders have used every epithet in the book for George W. Bush, and now she has the nerve to carry a cross because she knows good and well that it will piss off a whole bunch of people.
al-Sheehan has a right to her opinion, you have a right to yours, and everybody else has a right to theirs.

You have to be a Communist and Anti-American to be a liberal. Being against the war is only part of being Anti-American and Commie. Since Saddamn was an avowed Stalinist and Anti-American they go hand in hand. It's awful hard not to be either and Anti-war. Similar to their support of the murdering dictator of Cuba or China or Cambodia or...Fact is Libs have yet to find a murdering Dictator that hated America they didn't like.
The Pope is against every war, kindof goes with the job bad example. And comparing her to the Pope is anti-Catholic. Her and the Pope have nothing in common other than they both carry a Cross during Easter.

Sheehan has every right to express her viewpoint in public. However, she has lost every single shred of credibility that she ever possessed by her numerous untruthful statements as well as her alliance to any far-left viewpoint that comes along.
She is doing every thing in her power to ensure that her son's personal sacrifice was in vain. She wants to make sure that Casey died for nothing and that his gravesite remains unhonored.
