VISTA, Calif. -- A cat shot by two arrows in Vista has died.
This is the second case of someone piercing local cats apparently for fun, 10News reported.
Bill was a 3-year-old cat fighting to survive wounds left by two metal arrows shot into his body. It was a vicious prank that infuriates his caretakers.
"I'd like to think of myself as a gentle person, but if I had a bow and arrow and saw the person who did this, I don't know how gentle I'd be," said Dr. Laura Stokking, a veterinarian.
It happened in Vista probably a few days ago. A neighbor found the cat in his garage on Plymouth Drive with one arrow piercing his back and the other sticking out of his neck. It's the second incident in the same neighborhood this week.
"We would ask the public to call the shelter with any information. If they saw anything, heard anything, call our shelter," said animal control officer Jennifer Scanlon.
The attack on Bill is a felony. It carries a penalty of a year in prison and a $20,000 fine.

Where we live leash laws apply to ALL domestic pets. NO ONE leashes their cats, however. So, they get in trouble killing birds and baby squirrels, pooping in bunkers, leaving foot print and claw scratches on cars.
I wonder if the owner in CA violated leash laws by letting his cat roam?

If we could just get some illegal immigrants to kill a dog or a cat during one of these protests, the whole immigration issue would be over quickly. Americans would rise up as one and force politicians to solve the problem once and for all. Too bad something like that can't happen. This thread will probably see more posts than any one illegal immigration thread touching on the future survival of the nation.

Someone kills my cat in this manner, and he'll never have another blade of grass grow in his yard again.

I'm sorry, but i just cannot work up any symathy for this report. It is NOT a story that should be worried about from coast to coast.

I agree.
There a sick f**k out there who needs to have a baseball bat taken to them.

Uh huh. Some people are just jerkoffs who get their kicks from abusing animals, whether they are on or off a leash, domesticated or wild.
Says volumes about people who advocate or rationalize that for any reason.

Well, hey, while we are at it, why don't we somehow find a way to inject the plight of Terry Schavio into this?
Oops...just did.

The problem is that the sickos that do something like this eventually move on up to doing things to humans.

There is a very, VERY strong correlation between scum such as this and 'people' who rape, torture and mutilate other humans. Pretty much every serial killer and other sicko did stuff like this as a child or adolescent.
