I'm thinking Sharon removed the Gaza outposts and consolidated those in the WestBank so that when Iran goes down and Hamas et. all go wild the IDF can move into those areas and operate the turkey shoot without having to protect settlements...after the house is cleaned the resulting field is another matter indeed..

I am starting to fear that Iran is developing a nuclear weapon specifically for use against Israel. Contextually, that's how I would interpret these comments.Well, several years ago, and Iranian Mullah said that the deaths of several million muslims would be worth the destruction of Israel.

Any nuke removal operation will surely involve the destruction of the radar systems and comand and control centers, and any high tech. military sites...Whether Israel and/or the U.S. does it there won't be much left to operate with in the Iranian Military...That's why the pinhead is ranting to scare us off to buy time..

I hope your right but Isreal needs to decide if they want to live.

A nuke detonated in that area will destroy all of the land, not just inside the borders of Israel. What part of that dont people understand? As far as the rest of the muslim and arab world are concerned, the so called "Palestinians" are nothing more than cannon fodder, used to keep the pressure up on Israel. They're certainly not welcome in nearly any other arab or muslim country.

I tend to agree. The game they are playing is passive/agressive. They are goading their enemy into making the first move, so that they may then play the wounded party. "Look how the Zionist entity attacks peace-loving Islamic nations!" they will cry if attacked. It's a lose-lose situation for Israel, because though they may remain watchful, the longer nothing is done the more time Iran has to achieve its goals of proliferation. I don't personally believe Iran would throw a lone missle at Israel. Better to arm Iran's allies for a coordinated strike.

My question: why doesn't Israel pre-emptively strike Iran??They are waiting for the perfect moment...Not too soon (so as to be blamed for starting a war) and not too late (so as to be turned into ashes or vapor).

However, the Israelis may have something creative in mind, perhaps something fun with infiltration, inside groups, coverts and commandos. We'll see.You seriesly think that Mossad isn't all over this like white on rice?

Did anyone notice that this Mahmoud Ahmadinejad nutcase say that the Jews took over land that was owned by the Palistinians. This did not happen. The land was purchased at highly inflated prices from absentee landlords who lived in other countries. As Jewish immigrants came in from such places as Russia in the early 1900s, the land was transformed out of the desert. It quickly prospered. Soon, the prosperity attracted workers from surrounding Arab countries to work the land. Palistine was the name used by the British when they were given the mandate to rule it after World War I; even though most Arab countries refused to identify this land as Palistine and preferred to call it Judea and Samaria. Jordan called the area the "West Bank." Everyone--Jews Christians, Muslims and etc.--who lived in this region was called themselves Palistinians. Palistine was not the exclusive property of one people.

last night I saw a Democratic Rep saying there is no way the Pres could get approval for military action against Iran with Rumsfeld as SecDef, Bush had no credibility (lied over Iraq), blah, blah. Maybe that was just bluster -So it will be the Dem's a$$es in a crack if they start dealying tactics so that the President's hands are tied in dealing with Iran and then Iran gets stupid and shoots off a nuke.

He is not playing with a full deck.
I am sure that this crackpot means every word he says.
Stopping him is going to be much harder than anyone realizes. What is going to be really funny is when he turns on Russia and China because he wants the world to be Muslim.

Even the Egyptians are telling Iran to leave Iraq alone..Taking out the Persian Nukes at a point probably after the fall eletions will not create the Islamic uproar some fear...it will balance the power in the region more than creating turmoil...

This guy was already trying to shift the blame to Pres. Bush for going into Iraq instead of taking on Iran! They will do or say anything to get back into power - the question is will the American people fall for these kinds of tactics or not.
