i agree. and al sharpton isn't there either.
Well maybe maybe maybe Al's learned his lesson after the last one he tried to take advantage of. His cred wouldn't be too high on this one. He might have stayed away regardless.
I don't see much to be alarmed about. Cooperating with the DA doesn't mean lying to help Nifong to make his case. It just means she's been available for questioning and has answered the questions, hopefully truthfully. It also doesn't sound like Kim disagrees in major ways with the timeline or events the defense claims, but I do wonder in what ways her account differs with the players' story.
Nothing the MSM has ever done has pleased me as much as when The New Republic (yes!, that New Republic) did a devastating story on him a decade or so ago.
Have I got a book for you. Four years old but no less accurate.
Shakedown: Exposing the Real Jesse Jackson
Jesse Jackson is a modern day highway robber, says veteran investigative reporter Kenneth R. Timmerman, who uses cries of racism to steal from individuals, corporations, and government, to give to himself. Until now, however, no one has been brave enough to say it and diligent enough to prove it. But Ken Timmerman has cracked Jackson's machine, found Jackson cronies willing to break ranks, and uncovered a sordid tale of greed, ambition, and corruption from a self-proclaimed minister who has no qualms about poisoning American race relations for personal gain.

A few minutes ago on Fox News a reporter stated that Jackson's Raibow Push will be paying for the rest of her schooling, even if it turns out that her rape charge is false!!!!!!!!!!!
So, it sounds like Jesse committed and then found out the case is headed south.
I agree; she basically has to talk to the police, since she is the one who instigated the Kroger call.
Regardless of how her "story" differs from theirs, which is probably regarding how the fight started and what was said, she really can't argue with the timeline: they've got authenticated pictures.
Doesn't really matter if there was an argument: all they need her for is to establish there was no time for a rape in that house.
They said nasty things to her? Big deal, she drove herself over there to strip.
She needs to understand that if the DA gets an indictment, all bets are off; if she deviates from the statements she has already given the defense investigator, they're gonna go after her, too.

Why does Kim need an attorney?
The defense says the guys were slipping 20's to them under the bathroom door to get them to leave. That's probably why they holed up in the bathroom where Kim changed clothes, according to the guys.
The key will be whether or not Kim tells the truth about being in the bathroom with Mangum.
I want to know if anybody has looked at either woman's cell phone records for the entire time period.
I also want to know what Kim was doing during the half hour they all waited for Mangum to arrive. Was she in the house, or just sitting outside waiting? How would she know Mangum wasn't there yet if she at least didn't go to the door? If she waited inside, what went on? Did she have a drink? Was it drugged? What did they talk about? Or did she go back out to her car to wait for Mangum to arrive?
Kim needs an attorney because she made a potentially false report to the police and possibly perjured herself, and would like immunity in exchange for her testimony, which she will be all too happy to embellish in order to not be hassled about her lies, all of which were geared toward staying out of the whole things as much as possible, most likely because it's the smart thing to do and also probably because her pimp doesn't want any police scrutiny.
Whew! How's that for a run-on sentence, lol!
Howlin, I also meant to say that the guys probably were refusing to pay them, so they went in the bathroom to call their pimps to find out what to do. Kim changed clothes, Crystal painted her nails, and they kept dialing, I will bet.
I will also bet that Nifong has deliberately avoided requesting either woman's cell phone records.
Paying $800 for 4 minutes of dancing is way out of line. That equates to $12,000 per hour. And Jesse Jackson wants her to stop?
LOL! Good point!!
