What Illegal Immigrants? All I see is a new voting bloc up for grabs.
Written by J. B. Williams Thursday, April 13, 2006
http://www.chronwatch.com/content/images-uploaded/ShowLetter.jpg

As you watch ILLEGAL immigrants, our uninvited house guests, march in the streets demanding their rights to FREE health care, FREE schooling and FREE admission to the greatest lifestyle on earth, take special note of why our borders are wide open today, who is behind it, and for what purpose. Before you jump on the “evil corporation” seeking “cheap labor” train, do a little real homework of your own for a change. I assure you that people in desperate need of votes are far more interested in these ILLEGALS than all of corporate America combined. The most powerful socialist politician in America provides a much needed dose of reality on the matter.

Speaking to a crowd of ILLEGAL immigrants, Taxachusetts Senator Edward Kennedy proclaimed: "I look across this historic gathering and I see the future of America. As President Kennedy proclaimed a half century ago, we are a nation of immigrants. And today, we stand together as brothers and sisters to shape America's destiny-old Americans, new Americans, future Americans--all joined together for the common good.”

For the first time ever, I almost agree with something Teddy Kennedy said. When I look at these ILLEGAL protesters in our streets, I see the future of America, too. However, even JFK wasn’t talking about ILLEGAL immigrants, and a half-century ago, nobody was hoping to replace “old-Americans,” who came here “legally” hoping to contribute to and assimilate into the real American culture, with Teddy’s “new-Americans” who come uninvited with open disdain for our laws, our culture and our language, seeking to cash-in by destroying America's sovereignty and security. In fact, Teddy hopes to run roughshod over most “old Americans” who still believe in silly little notions like the rule of law, and national sovereignty and security.

BTW I faxed the Senators yesterday the transcript from Dobb's show.

I am not giving up without a fight and trust in God and in our elected officials to make it right!

WE must make it easier for well educated foreigners to get work visas and green cards. It is to our advantage to allow well educated foreigners more so then to allow ill educated foreigners to reside here.

Immigration Madness
davidlimbaugh.com ^ | 04/13/06 | David Limbaugh
http://www.davidlimbaugh.com/mt/archives/2006/04/new_column_immi.html

There is only one group of people with less credibility on the immigration issue than Washington politicians. It is the illegal immigrants protesting violations of their "rights" while parading the Mexican flag and disrespecting the one symbolizing the great nation from which they're demanding favors.

I'm not talking about all demonstrators in every city in which a march occurred. Some were reportedly peaceful and even patriotic. But the hostility of some protestors did more to galvanize apathetic Americans into demanding action on immigration than all the previous alarm-warnings from politicians and pundits combined.

Nothing awakens the sleeping giant like direct threats to her sovereignty and security. And it was hard not to feel violated by the outrageous spectacle of people making demands on the very system they have circumvented instead of demonstrating some humility, if not contrition. On the other hand, it's not hard to understand their attitude, given our shameful negligence concerning the integrity of our border and the rule of law.

I think this is prime example of just how wrong "moderates" are - on both sides of the aisle. Liberals may want socialist policies, but at least they want the socialists to be Americans. And the Conservatives want Americans to run their own lives, safe and under the rule of law.

Unprincipled moderates spend so much time trying to please everybody they forget who they work for: AMERICANS.

"WE must make it easier for well educated foreigners to get work visas and green cards"

Why?

Why not instead make it easier for Americans to become well educated instead of subsidizing the education of illegals, foreigners and "ex" members of the taliban?

IMMIGRATION POLITICS: MARCHING MADNESS
(pro-aliens deranged conduct hurting cause)
By John Podheretz NY POST
SOURCE: http://www.nypost.com/postopinion/opedcolumnists/66798.htm

EXCERPT........things are moving rapidly in the direction of the immigration restrictionists. That may not be due to anything they've done or said. Rather, the idea that something has to be done about illegal immigration is in part due to politically deranged conduct on the part of those who claim to be working on behalf of illegal aliens.

The demonstrations - are politically incomprehensible. If their purpose is to influence the political debate in a direction favorable to the interests of illegal aliens, then their organizers are deluded. The rapidly rising concern about the issue is a clear indication that the first round of demonstrations a few weeks ago, featuring Mexican flags dominating American flags and wild talk about American imperialism, were self-defeating.

There is no chance on earth that Congress is going to adopt a wildly liberal set of policies on illegal immigration. ......the immigration interest groups and others seem intent on radicalizing the debate, in making it clear to many people who aren't yet committed to one side or the other on this issue that the pro-immigrant side is nuts and the anti-immigrant side is more sensible.

The direction all this will take in years to come is unknowable. It may align Hispanics with the Democrats in the long term. On the other hand, it may drive more Democratic voters of modest means into the Republican camp, offsetting the Democratic gain. No matter how you slice it, these demonstrations were and are a horrible mistake.

I knew this would happen. These idiots crossed a line they never should have and now they are going to pay a HUGE price for their ignorance!!

Illegals - Next time, evaluate your status carefully and, if you aren't here by invitation or with permission, stay under your rocks!!!

And that my friend is the unfortunate situation America finds itself in and are helpless to do anything about because we are at the mercy of our elected officials and the lobbyists, and Bill Gates!!

No, but with public opinion so heavily weighted against any sort of amnesty, "guest worker" or similar program, only the most dim-witted politician who is disinterested in remaining in public office will ignore the groundswell of opposition. We have only just begun to take our country back.

Stay tuned, there is more to come.

Heheh.......nice juxtapositioning of pics.

Looks like the 3/31/06 demo is the one that resonates in the minds of Americans-----especially all that signage about American imperialism----and that the lower US is really "their homeland" that the US "stole" from them

That went over like a lead ballon.

7. Punish those who employ illegals with large fines

Try this:

7. Punish those who employ illegals with large fines, prison and seizure of their business

Fox and Friends right now are discussing this very thing.
You are right, they seem outraged by it all as well.

It would be very interesting if the point of purchase for these American flags from a distributor was nailed to the left.

Punish those who employ illegals with large fines, prison and seizure of their business.....

....... the SEC wants to know if publicly-held companies, their execs and Board of Directors put investments at risk - either by utilizing risky short-term wage gains by hiting illegals, or violating accounting laws with regard to Sarbanes-Oxley.......

Fraudulent filings or not filing with the IRS could also play a huge part in this.

..........voters are starting to tilt toward get-tough Republicans on immigration - and those massive protest rallies by illegal aliens waving flags have backfired.

Republicans are now more trusted on immigration - 37%trust them on the issue, while just 31% trust Democrats...........

All I can say regarding the Republican leadership on this issue is:

THE "NEW AMERICAN"

We are now one of the largest Spanish-speaking nations in the world. We're a major source of Latin music, journalism and culture.

Just go to Miami, or San Antonio, Los Angeles, Chicago or West New York, New Jersey ... and close your eyes and listen. You could just as easily be in Santo Domingo or Santiago, or San Miguel de Allende.

For years our nation has debated this change -- some have praised it and others have resented it. By nominating me, my party has made a choice to welcome the new America.

As I speak, we are celebrating the success of democracy in Mexico.

George Bush from a campaign speech in Miami, August 2000.

You can read the speech here.

Here is an excerpt of a good critique of that speech:

In equating our intimate historic bonds to our mother country and to Canada with our ties to Mexico, W. shows a staggering ignorance of the civilizational facts of life. The reason we are so close to Britain and Canada is that we share with them a common historical culture, language, literature, and legal system, as well as similar standards of behavior, expectations of public officials, and so on.
