Exactly!!
I can't understand why the INS doesn't get a whole bunch of buses, load the protestors up on them (Hey, going to the protest, here's a free ride!!) and drive the buses back over the border, oh, say for a 100 or so miles, then let everyone out!!

"TO THE WAL-MART, COMRADES"
Naturally, a shopping challenge is one I can get behind in a big way, but I won't be doing it there - I don't buy things from China, and Wal-Mart doesn't have anything that isn't.

"May 1 is my birthday. The Marxists can go suck eggs; I plan on buying massive quantities of food, drink and cake."
May 1st is my daughter's birthday as well - she turns three - so we will be shopping that day, and buying not-so-massive quantities of food, drink, and cake. lol.

There is probably a local farmer's market or butcher shop near your home. Stop subsidizing the illegals...

I think it would be a very interesting promotion for growers to certify that produce was harvested with legal labor. I would pay more for it.

I'm glad to see this posted. I had planned on spending money May 1st as soon as I heard about the "boycott"
To: neverdem
Wouldn't it be a hoot if all Americans refused to go to work, school or do shopping on May 2nd, as a counter protest to the Illegals? We wouldn't even need to march :)
I wonder which boycott would be more effective? Duh...
It will never happen, but I can dream..

If what was really wanted was to show America what it would be like to have a day without illegal immigrants, then they would all stay home, inside and quiet, all day.
No work, no school, no shopping, NO PROTESTS. Just NOTHING.
The trouble with that, of course, is that most people in many places in the country wouldn't notice it at all. And many people in many parts of the country would actually prefer it.
It's all so silly - the protests and the endless debating over various reforms and bills. Unless we stop the flow by building a wall, THERE IS NO IMMIGARTION POLICY.

I think it would be a very interesting promotion for growers to certify that produce was harvested with legal labor. I would pay more for it. So would I! Buying from your local farm market you'll probably get fresher produce, lower prices and no illegals deficating in the fields.
I don't expect to see any growers promoting illegal-free produce any time soon. The lawsuits from the ACLU would put them out of business.
Pass it on!
