Close the borders and start deporting!

Even illegal immigrants have rights under the U.S. Constitution.
To: clawrence3
Please enumerate those rights for me. I have seem to have forgotten what they are.

Every right where "person" is used rather than "citizen" for starters - including the 14th Amendment right to due process - see also, Plyer v. Doe re: illegal immigrant children have the right to public education, etc.

Close the borders and start deporting! Close the border and start drying up jobs, social services and money transfers South.

Yeah, they have the right to get boated back to their respective hovels, and try things the way our self-imposed LAWS demand that they do.

Not only "humane treatment" - illegal aliens get FREE PUBLIC EDUCATION - see Plyer v. Doe.

I think he works for the ACLU or ANSWER. Maybe laraza.
If we can get their hands out of the taxpayers pockets we're halfway free.

Who was the crackpot whose recording was played on talk radio who equated the term "illegal alien" with vile racial epithets (which he freely spewed) that I can't even repeat on FR?

Doe re: illegal immigrant children have the right to public education, etc. I'm with you on the 14th Amendment and due process. In order to deport, or otherwise punish, illegal aliens, it is necessary to follow due process.
On the other hand, court cases don't establish "rights". They merely establish a legal interpretation, pending a re-interpretation. Dred Scott and Plessy are no longer the law of the land -- so that slavery and segregation are no longer "rights".
That goes for the mistaken interpretation of the "Citizenship Clause" of the 14th Amendment, as well.

Are you saying illegal aliens do NOT have First Amendment rights:
Amendment I
To: clawrence3
Under Plyer v. Doe. the CHILDREN of illegal aliens become citizens and have the same rights. Illegal aliens are illegal aliens no matter how many times the border anachists try to say otherwise.

I don't work for ACLU or ANSWER, or even La Raza. Now what, even American citizens don't have First Amendment rights?!
To: cripplecreek
Perhaps you need to (re-)read Plyer v. Doe.
To: clawrence3
If there isn't, there should be a differentiation between "persons" and "invaders".

For some reason, the text of First Amendment was missing in that post:
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances."
