See what happens when you threaten someone's amoral "religion"? :-)
Creationists can sound awfully petty, too-and they do NOT speak for all Christians. All Hail His Pastaness!
Much to most mainstream Christians' chagrin.
It's definitely offensive... to those who know not carbs!
The followers of atkislam (atkinslamics, perhaps?) are arch-enemies to the pastafarians, and stop at nothing to devour the 'meatballs' of the infidel.
The Muslims can keep their 37 virgins. I'll take the beer volcano and the stripper factory of my Pastafarian paradise any day of the week.
A Connie "The Babe" Morris ping to you.
How does the Flying Spaghetti Monster attack whites and men?
The proponents of ID do not limit the creation to the hand of the "Christian God." (Is he the same God as the Jewish God?)
If you wish to be taken seriously, try posting without the ad hominems.
It will not be long before this makes it into a government school "science" book as the missing evolutionary link from whence humans came.
Pastafarians reject evolution. We know that we were the result of His work, first the mountains, then the trees, and then a midgit. What's the matter, you have something against Intelligent Design?
That's a belief held by lots of religions, not just Christians and the Christians certainly weren't the first
Hateful.
I do agree with you that the IDers need to be intellectually honest with themselves regarding their motives for wanting ID taught in public schools...but there seems to be a real disconnect here...because, at least in the Dover trial, the witnesses wanting ID taught in the public schools, did not specify that the designer was to be designated as the Christian God...the thought being, that creation by an intelligent designer, could be carried out by any designer, any 'out or this world'(my phrase, for lack of a better description), creative force...that could include the Christian God, Space Aliens, or any one of many, many other creative forces, especially within different Native American groups...
But when most ID advocates come onto FR, and want ID taught as a science in public school, they are advocating, in the majority for the Christian God...its their attempt to bring Christian teachings into the public school...Frankly I believe that very few of the ID advocates on FR, would stand for the Intelligent Designer being designated as anyone other than the Christian God...
So what exactly is it?...is it to be ID taught, with the Christian God as the designer, or can any 'entity', be designated as the designer? This is where I think much of the problem is...and this is where the FSM pops up...in other words, if the designer can be any 'entity', then some figure, that the FSM is as good as the Christian God, or Space Aliens, or any number of gods from other cultures, and other religions...
Noodly Appendage placemarker
While I am far from a pastafarian, I will admit to strongly preferring only fresh-grated Parmesan cheese. No green containers of pre-milled cheese product for me, thanks.
Spaghetti is "Good Carbs". It says so right on the side of the box so you know it's true.
See post 16. FSM makes fun of Christians.
Could it be that the ID folk are lying through their teeth about the role of religion in the ID movement?
No, not when arguments against ID are couched in attacks against Christians - as occurs all the time of the crevo threads.
I realize that many of the Darwinists here pretend not to grasp that.
