I hate to post and run, but this was too good not to post. I'm not sure of the legalities here; can the teacher be required to remove it? Can someone claim it is a religious symbol (pastafarianism) and demand it be taken down?

It's sweet when teachers make fun of Christians. Do they make fun of other people too? Folks with big lips? People with big noses? People with funny eyes?
Or is it just OK to make fun of Christians?

The teacher is not making fun of Christians. A lot of Christians agree with the teacher's position

Thanks for the ping. I suspect that this isn't a good time to deploy the evolution ping list. Maybe later.

LOL... It's making fun of ID. and we all know that has nothing to do with Christianity or religion... Isn't that what the IDers say? LOL

FSM was created to make fun of ID proponents. Since ID advocates claim that ID is not creationism, why would you think that FSM makes fun of Christians? Could it be that the ID folk are lying through their teeth about the role of religion in the ID movement?

The FSM makes fun of Intelligent Design, and we know that ID is not a religious theory -- the folks who invented it even said so.

From the Amazon write-up:
Behold the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster (FSM), todays fastest growing carbohydrate-based religion. According to church founder Bobby Henderson, the universe and all life within it were created by a mystical and divine being: the Flying Spaghetti Monster.
I guess it's not an attempt to mock the belief that Life was created by God. Sorry. My mistake.

Hey! I was told "FSM was created to make fun of ID proponents."
You seem to be mis-using the FSM and somehow treating it as a stand-in for the Christian God. That's not what it's for!
Or so they say.

It's to mock ID proponents. They're the ones claiming it's not about religion, then turning around and claiming anyone mocking ID is mocking Christianity.
I don't make this stuff up, I just report it.
