He hasn't ruled it out completely so the title is a bit misleading. I hope he runs.

I think if he runs it won't be with an expectation of winning. I think it will be a means of pushing the immigration issue. It would be an interesting race with his own party trying to smear him right down the line.

I haven't seen one Senator or Congressman who can really win the White House. I don't know why they bother to run at all really.

Did anyone hear the article read on NPR on Monday morning about 6:30 AM Central that mentioned Tancredo? I've been trying to find out who wrote the article so I can download it.

Has a sitting Representative ever successfully ran for President without any executive experience?

If Congress passes immigration reform, the issue won't be a part of the presidential race, said Tamar Jacoby, senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute and a conservative advocate for a guest-worker program. Even if Congress doesn't pass reform, she said, people don't vote for president based on immigration issues.
Ms. Jacoby couldn't be more wrong on both statements.

I love Tancredo and I am grateful that he stood up when you could count the people who would even talk about immigration on one hand. However, he's probably right not to try for the presidency. I've read here and there that he has his eye on the Senate.

people don't vote for president based on immigration issues. Agreed (that the above statement is wrong, I mean)
To: RabidBartender
James Garfield, if I recall correctly.

Are there any Governors who are thinking of running for president besides Romney?

That's good - he'd make a good Senator. I wish him well. I really like his tough stand on immigration. He's not afraid to take a tough stand and he doesn't pander to the Latino vote!

Please say it isn't so. We need a man like Tancredo! When are we as Conservatives ever going to get a back bone and run a true Conservative?!!!

I've been getting hit with this for over a week now and only on this site. Can someone explain to me why? I tried to post a vanity and name the worm and post it but it wouldn't allow me to post.
