Maybe he can transfer his credits to the American University in Cairo, or some other university in a Muslim country. Then he can worry less about the "honor code" and more about "honor killing".

I've heard that homosexuals in Arab countries are stood against a brick wall and then they level the brick wall. The gays are crushed under the bricks. I don't agree with the homosexual lifestyle, but I sure don't advocate killing them.

Some years ago I worked with a guy who was both gay and LDS. I recall asking how that was working out for him. He had a really interesting perspective...yes he was gay, but the LDS church didn't recognize homosexuality, and since you weren't allowed to have sex outside of marriage...he just happened to be a very celibate gay person, as his friends were very celibate straight people. When I knew him some twenty years ago...he just planned to stay unmarried.

A man I went to high school with is the same way. He is an honorable and serves faithfully in the LDS church, but will never marry.

The students could face disciplinary action under BYU's Honor Code if university officials judge the march, organized by the group Soulforce, as advocacy of a gay lifestyle, which is contrary to the teachings of BYU's owner, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

BYU is a privately own entity dully entitled on it's own in house rules and regulations
If anybody does not like the set rules, should move on to better and more lenient places for alternative life styles.

I I remember correctly universities are places to achieve a higher learning degree, not to observe ones chosen life style!

There is something bad wrong with the people who give in to their perverted propensities and live this lifestyle. I just read about 3 of the weirdos who were castrating "willing participants" somewhere down south.

An anti-Christ-like attitude exists among many church members."

Verrry Innnteresting take on things...."Anti Christ like attitude = Anti Sodomite lifestyle...

Though she probably meant a anti 'Christ-like' attitude she should remember that (at least for Christians who believe the bible) Jesus Christ IS GOD....He is God the Son...

As God ...he took a very active part in the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah...sent his angels in to rescue Abrahams nephew Lot and family...while the angels were in Lot's house as guests...the sodomites tried to break in and rape the angels as they were men the sodomites hadn't 'had' yet..

For their wickedness in trying to rape the Angels the sodomite men were blinded...later they were fried along with the rest of the Sodomites and Gomorrahians

So being 'anti Sodomite' aka 'anti gay lifestyle' is indeed very 'Christ like'

The Mormon Church has every right to tell you to quit or git.

imo

Right. She never elaborates on the Anti-Christlike attitude. I know there are LDS people who are intolerant of gays. But we are admonished to love the sinner, hate the sin. Too many gays/lesbians/whatever take the hate the sin part as mean and not Christian.

That lineup looks like the top finalists in an All-American Loser Contest. I don't think these geeks had to feign "dying" on the grass at all.

What was Rush saying today about that survey which shows more little tots get separated from ugly mothers in shopping malls than from......

Until know, this could very well be the longest thread with the number 24 that has no reference made to the name Jack Bauer.

Another for the Bizzaro files.

Brigham Young University police arrested 24 people, among them five current students, who participated Tuesday in a march and demonstration by a national gay-awareness group.

"gay-awareness" ? ? ?

Where does that fit in on Maslow's Hierarchy? LOL

There are human beings that feel predisposed toward homosexual activity cause(s) unknown and or there are human beings that actually choose to enagage in homosexual activity.

These human beings exhibit a multitude of traits and characteristics -just like all other other human beings -there is only one differentiating factor -an exception of one thing and one thing only and that is homosexual sex.

SO now the question: HOW can anyone become "gay-aware" WHEN those that promote "gay-awareness" discuss everything BUT homosexual sex?

Jackson wrestled with the decision to be arrested because she had a quiz Tuesday afternoon and a test scheduled today.

Sounds as though she is really committed to the cause. As does the senior who is transferring next year. If you don't like the rules, then go somewhere else. What is so difficult for them to understand?

Well good, at least when they're doing that they're not harassing Army recruiters or protesting in front of military hospitals.

"I'm not advocating a gay lifestyle," said one of the arrested students, Lauren Jackson, a freshman from Baxter, Tenn.

I've found that the vast majority of times, when they say "I'm not advocating..." They really are.

Miss Jackson needs to be removed for Honor Code violations. Likewise the other students that advocated with them.

The whole die-in thing seems odd to me. Why memorialize people who sinned unrepentedly by committing homosexual behavior (or at least by not admitting that God says that homosexual behavior is sinful) and then sinned again by suiciding? Doesn't "Thou Shalt Not" mean anything anymore?

"I'm proud to say that I'm gay," Kulisch said.

"And I'll kill myself if you say you don't like me"

How very weird. Using suicide like it is a deadly disease than cannot be helped.
