"And the big story on the drive-by-media today was the fact that the intelligence agency knew the so-called biological weapons trailers were not that at all two days before the President used the information in a claim that the trailers were evidence of WMD's."
Yeah...and they deliberately ignored that Bush didn't see this report and was relying on another report by the CIA and DIA that said they were bio-labs. Even if Bush knew of both reports, it wasn't unreasonable for Bush to assume the worst; it certainly doesn't make him a liar in light of Saddam's record. Hell, I remember the investigation of these labs and how there were reports that they were scrubbed with chlorine and other chemicals to hide the evidence.
At the very least, Democrats and the media are attempting to criminalize policy matters, disputes and executive decisions...which if this continues, could seriously jeopardize the security of this country. Making judgement calls on intel that may be contradictory, in no way constitutes a lie...especially when a record of deciet or manipulation already exists from the offending party.
NY Times'insistance [based on the claims of anonymous individuals who had never even seen the labs] that the trailers were for making hydrogen, all three of the international teams assigned to look at those vehicles concluded their most likely use was as mobile labs for bioweapon production.
