...will he veto the Illegal Immigrant Voting Act of 2006?
Pataki also vetoed any chance he ever has of gaining a nomination by the GOP for the Presidency.
Gotta love how moderates self-destruct.
A common flaw and a common fate to all those who dance on both sides of the moderate centerline of politics.
A Republican governor vetoing a tax rebate?!?!?!
Upstate needs its own state.

amen
We could even see if some of PA's red bits wanted to go with us. The more the merrier! And I don't give a rat's hairy hind end what we'd call it :)
Your kidding right?...The new GOP led by Jorge Bush will love Pataki and embrace him...
What fool notion got into your head that the GOP was anything but a slower version of big government taxation and spending liberals?
Best laugh this week...
The GOP has thrown out any chance of holding congress and the white house...
Its hard living in NY...a lot of the industries has flown south of the border and taxes are so high...we have seen our taxes almost quadruple since moving into our house in 1993. NYC is a huge drain on the rest of the state....Hillary promised more jobs and they seem to be going out the door faster than they are coming in. Plus our little county in CNY is suffering tax-wise because of back door shenanigans with the Indians....they buy up huge tracts of land...bought by money made at their casino...(foisted upon us by Albany BTW)..once the papers are signed they claim indian sovereignty and refuse to pay the taxes...taxes we end up paying...don't get me going...
I'll second that, or at the very least be part of PA, after lopping off Pittsburgh and Philly......
I know what you mean, though. Sigh.
I think the red bits of NY and PA should go for it. I'd love to have someone like Lynn Swann for my governor! :)
Me too.
