The progressive liberal socialist movement is in full swing and they are winning! More and more illegals are sneaking in and are well financially backed by liberals, probably Soros. Not to mention all the freebies (welfare and every entitlement)they are getting which the liberals don't care because we taxpayers are picking up the bill.

But sending a brick...ahh I don't know about that.

Voting is a lot more effective. And a lot cheaper.

If you use the flat-rate box, it is $8.10 to mail any weight. The box can not "bulge", but whatever goes in will go for the flat-rate. The boxes are free at the Post Office. We use them for soldiers all the time.

I'd like to offer an alternative solution. The GOP currently in office are taking their base for granted. They know that, in November, most of us will, despite our threats to the contrary, turn out to oppose the election of Democrats to office. Let's face it, staying home, voting third party, or voting Democrats in is a lose-lose proposition, both for Republicans AND for the US.

So, let's turn this into a win-win. Rather than be forced into a squeeze play by 'Pubbie pols who have forgotten how they got to Washington, let's replace them with a new class of conservatives who know what the Constitution says, who undersatnd what the legal system is for, who know the value and importance of American citizenship and understand the effort required to earn/save a dollar. Let's replace the current crop of arrogant, political elitists with conservatives who will enact restraints on the budget and let the President know that Americans don't want their borders opened to an invading army of illegals who disrespect our laws and our sovereignty.

Between now and November, let's find, fund, and elect a new group of conservative politicians who understand what the rule of law means, what a government of the people, by the people and for the people means, and whose vote can't be bought by any union, PAC, or organization.

In November, let's take our government AND our country back!!! But, we need to start today.

Doug Edelman

THE CITIZENS' STRIKE
What began as a tongue in cheek suggestion in a Sher Zieve article is blossoming into a real grassroots movement.

Pointing to the demonstrations and boycott threats by illegal aliens over legislative actions in the arena of illegal immigration, Sher cited their talking point that they're showing us how important they are to us... that we can't survive without them. Sher then posed the idea of a counter-protest by the real CITIZENS of the US, a Citizens' Strike in support of enforcing immigration law and securing our borders. Sort of a "Take A Day Off For America" campaign.

Though originally posed merely as a rhetorical exercise to stimulate thought, there is now grassroots movement to truly take the idea to the streets.

May 5, 2006 has been selected as the day for a 1 day "strike", where supporters will transact no commerce. They will remain home from work, using vacation, leave, sick time or whatever is available to them. They will take no public transportation. They will transact no business. They will make no purchases. Many will turn off TV, radio and their computers. For one day, they will not contribute to the economy of the nation. For one day they will focus on the home, family, books etc. This is to draw attention to their depth of concern over illegal immigration, and their desire to see real action taken to secure the borders and enforce immigration law.

May 5th is a symbolic date, as it is also Cinco de Mayo, a Mexican holiday – ironically commemorating the defeat of an invading army (and who's surprised that the defeated army was the French?) at The Battle Of Puebla in 1862.

A website dedicated to the effort can be found at http://citizensonstrike.us

The brick doesn't need to be in a box to be mailed. Simply wrap it up like a present in grocery sack brown paper and packing tape.

Write a message with black marker on the brick and mail it media mail, it's a lot cheaper that way. However, send it now so it gets there on time.

Ask a mail carrier what they think. Will their vehicles accommodate a huge number of bricks? You may be opening a Pandora's box. I can see tractor tailors broken down on the interstate just because of the sheer weight. It's not like Americans send bricks everyday in the mail.

I think it would be more effective if all Fed tax returns were sent to one location, on the day before the deadline . Not a small location but a large one.

The present system has designated locations, with addressed envelopes, or instructions as to where your return is to be sent. The idea is simple, overload the IRS location with work.

Or just send them to IRS HQ and let them forward it.
Will they arrest 'these' protesters and not the illegal mobs roaming our cities?

The idea is to get a concrete brick and mail it..

I have been writing "Return to Sender" on all mail from politico's and/or govt. agencies, along with the comments "Build the Wall" and "Stop the Illegal Invasion" on the front and back of the envelope.

The US Post office, I believe, must return an unopened letter so I figure it gets seen by at lease a dozen or so government employees as it goes back to whomever sent it.

I especially send back letters from the RNC, or any money-grubbing candidate whom I know does not support building a border security fence. (that's almost all of them)

I've been doing this for about six months now, and unfortunately the junk mail has been getting smaller.

If it is not against the law for them to be here then how can we call them Illegal. If is is against the law then why don't we arrest them.

I think sending a brick is a good idea. Think about it. On or about May 5th 5 MILLION bricks show up at the US Capitol. That can't be ignored. Just think of the press conference Republican congressmen fighting Illegal immigration would have standing in front of a Mountain of Bricks.
