Peres: Israel should stay out of Iran conflict
By JPOST.COM STAFF
Kadima MK Shimon Peres said Wednesday that Israel should stay out of the Iran conflict, saying that if Israel were to take preemptive military measures it would isolate itself in the campaign against the country.
Peres told Army Radio that Israel should to be patient and allow the US to manage the situation. "The US has placed the Iran (nuclear) issue at the top of its agenda and, despite the worrying state of affairs, Israel doesn't need to get involved," said Peres.
"The Iranians are going too far with their provocations and are turning the whole world against them," added the former prime minister.

Peres thinks that Israel should only respond in kind. It hasn't quite dawned on him yet that after Israel is struck with a nuke, there will be no Israel left.
Senility is a terrible thing, isn't it? At age 82 it really is time for Mr. Peres to retire.
I would agree. Of course senile old farts aren't exclusive to Israel either. Jimmy Carter makes Peres look like somewhat of a sage. Even Bill Clinton takes quite a heap of pressure off of him.
Very good there anotherview.
Israel should just sit around and wait for the U.S.A. to protect their interests?
B.S.
Israel better get real and take care of business or get wipped out.
What's next Peres, convert to Islam!
