U.S. intel finds increased cooperation between Iran, Al Qaida
WASHINGTON The U.S. intelligence community has briefed Congress on the increasing cooperation between Iran and Al Qaida. Congressional sources said committee members have been told that Teheran has sought to use Al Qaida in any Iranian war with the United States. The sources said Iran has harbored leading Al Qaida operatives and enabled them to plan major attacks that would be launched upon Teheran's approval.

We may reach a crossroads on whether we take on Iran and its continued pursuit of Nuclear Weapons and promoting terrorism... or...
I don't know if the leak about using Nuclear Weapons on Iran was posturing or not...

6-7-2004: The Sept. 11 commission reported yesterday that it has found no "collaborative relationship" between Iraq and al Qaeda, challenging one of the Bush administration's main justifications for the war in Iraq.
The probability of any panel reaching an accurate conclusion is very, very , VERYVERYVERY low. Do you think there is a representative from Al Quaeda who is going to stand up and say anything? Do you think there is going to be a documented stream of data? This is all cloak and dagger.
If I was in the Saddam drivers seat, I too if under scrutiny or perceived potential scrutiny would destroy any and all incriminating evidence. I would disband all groups involved and destroy all records. All WMD's would be destroyed, buried, or shipped to an aly such as Syria.
The panel has to rely on evidence and here there is a massive hole. Without evidence they have to reach a conclusion based on what they have.
This does not mean that collaboration did not exist. It only means that the investigators do not have any documents, or could not interpret what they have.

Bush overstated Iraq links to al-Qaeda, former intelligence officials say - USA Today 7/13/03
"There was no significant pattern of cooperation between Iraq and the al-Qaeda terrorist operation," former State Department intelligence official Greg Thielmann said this week.
Intelligence agencies agreed on the "lack of a meaningful connection to al-Qaeda" and said so to the White House and Congress, said Thielmann, who left State's Bureau of Intelligence and Research last September.
9/11 panel sees no link between Iraq, al-Qaida - MSNBC 6/16/04
It said that reports of subsequent contacts between Iraq and al-Qaida after bin Laden had returned to Afghanistan do not appear to have resulted in a collaborative relationship, and added that two unidentified senior bin Laden associates "have adamantly denied that any ties existed between al-Qaida and Iraq."
I am not posting it to agree with it, I am posting it to show the spin against the war.

I think it could be psychological warfare, but ya never know for sure.
...Washington Post, CNN, BBC, USA Today (which we are not even allowed to post excerpts from on FR) and MSNBC: all anti-American publications that oppose our defense.
Shiite Iran is training and arming Al Qaeda. Something must be done to stop Iran from building/deploying nuclear weapons, regardless that it will make the US dollar fall to a reasonable international value. Apparently, some of our free traitors have gone an anti-American step further in now supporting Iran's intentions.
