Northgate never made keyboards. Keyboards are mostly manufactured by specialized OEMs and labeled with the computer company's sticker.
Most OEM keyboards back in the day were made by companies like Keytronic or Cherry. AFAIK, IBM is the only company that sold PCs and made their own keyboards.
You can still find a really good quality Keytronic keyboard that will probably be an exact match for your old Northgate-branded one. This one is probably a pretty close guess, if not an exact match. It goes for about $25.
Or, this one, by Cherry, might be even higher quality. ...at least its more expensive, at over $45. ;-)

Ben Affleck was one of the Hollywood Democrats that actually sounded somewhat reasonable when talking about politics during the last couple of elections. So much for that. I should have known that wouldn’t last long. Newsbusters has the latest.

Reminiscent of Al Franken on the Late Show last October, on Friday’s Real Time with Bill Maher on HBO, actor Ben Affleck charged that President Bush “probably also leaked” Valerie Plame’s name and so “if he did, you can be hung for that! That’s treason!” In full rant, an apoplectic Affleck asserted: “You could be killed. That’s not a joking around Tom DeLay ‘I’ll do a year, I bribed the state officials with corporate money.’ That’s like they shoot you in the battlefield for doing that.”
Does Affleck even know the facts surrounding the supposed Plame “outing"? He couldn’t possibly and still be spouting such nonsense. Valerie Plame travelled in and out of the gates of Langley on a regular basis, so I argue that she was far from covert, but even if she had been, her egotistical, lying, camera-addicted husband did more to “out” her than everyone else on earth combined. I guess that description of Wilson might not have been fair. Maybe camera-dependent would have been more accurate.

As for the title of this post, there are obviously some sane Democrats left. There are tons of them in small towns across America who are still registered Democrat, even though many of them don’t choose to vote Democrat anymore. What I question is whether there are any sane Democrats left in any position of power or visibility in the party. Obviously, Zell Miller and Joe Lieberman are no longer treated as fellow Democrats, nor are they held up as examples of the national party. I am sure I am overlooking someone. Somebody help me with this one.

The Four Step Democratic Plan For Electoral Success Via Illegal Aliens
#1) Convince the RINOS in Washington to help them make 8-12 million illegal aliens citizens rather than risk offending Hispanic Americans and the crooked businesses that knowingly hire "undocumented workers."
#2) Once they become citizens, the illegal aliens will probably vote for the Democrats by a 2-1 or maybe even a 3-1 margin and the net gain of millions of new votes will help the Democrats add seats in Congress and make it much more likely a Democrat will be elected President.
#3) Next, the Democrats will again team up with the RINOs to keep our immigration laws from being enforced, our borders from being secured, and employers from being penalized for hiring illegals. In short, they'll simply work to preserve the status quo.
#4) By roughly 2015, the next batch of 8-12 million illegals should be here and Republicans will be even more afraid of offending Hispanic Americans, especially since, by that point, so many of them will be former illegal aliens. They'll also be even more afraid of angering businesses that will have, by that point, spent another whole decade becoming more reliant on cheap labor from illegals.
Repeat steps 1-4 until the Democrats thoroughly dominate the House, the Senate, and the Presidency or until the GOP has to gut their entire agenda to stay competitive.

Who was in office for the three quarters prior to March 2001? One quarter for the Bush administration and the prior two Clinton. It also didn't help that the Bush administration switched back to reporting real numbers instead of fudging them.

Back in the day, Northgate made keyboards. I still have one. Northgate keybords didn't use membranes. Each key was a mechanical switch. They had a distinct click to them that you don't get any more. Their keyboards were so in demand that you could buy them seperate from the PCs. Computer Science Corp bought hundreds from me back in the day.
I watched that last night. Bill Sammon had some good comments but missed many opportunities to put Affleck in his place.
