Bush isn't running for anything? He has to get a Republican majority through this year's mid-term elections.
There is no telling what the Dems will do if they gain control of one or both houses of congress.

Actually, its GOP congress that is in danger. It would be a pity if Pres. Bush handed over Congress to the Demonrats in 2006 and the presidency to Hillary! in 2008.
