First of all, the real battle lines for the 2006 campaign are not yet drawn. Second no illegal is going to vote this year because they can't. You have been ingesting the "Kool-Aid" the Democrat scum and MSM have been feeding you. The bottom line on immigration is going to be, close the borders effectively, come up with a "guest worker" program that registers all guest workers that are here and those that will follow, and never grant citizen rights to any illegal that is within the twelve million that are here now. Future guest workers that register and work here for ten years should be able to become citizens after a period of time and education. As for 2006, the issue will be security and safety of the country and its citizens. Now, you can sit home and bitch with other Pubbies, but if you do, you will be signing your own death warrant if the Democrat vermin get control of the senate and house. All you have to do is look at the track record of the Democrat scum while in power, and you will see no defense of America and the destruction of our intelligence gathering capabilities. The Bill and Hillary Clintons of this world make Osama Bin Laden and his ilk very happy campers!!! Conservatives sitting on their hands are sealing their own doom. Wake up!!!

"Second no illegal is going to vote this year because they can't."

Hahahahahaha. Good one.
Are you for real?

"The bottom line on immigration is going to be, close the borders effectively, come up with a 'guest worker' program that registers all guest workers that are here and those that will follow, and never grant citizen rights to any illegal that is within the twelve million that are here now."

That's YOUR bottom line.
And which party, pray tell, is going to give you that?
Not the Democrats.
The Republican Party will give you all the guest workers you like, but they will NEVER close the borders. Open borders favor business interests immensely, and they are not going to go against capital. Ever.
You have a dream policy...that won't be enacted by the Republicans. They will propose it, to keep you happy, but it will keep dying, as they know it will. They're not going to pull out the stops to stop it, and they CERTAINLY are not going to enforce the current laws. That would hurt big business. And big business is their ultimate patron. We can watch the whole cycle of rope-a-dope over and over again. I assume we will. Well...until the Democrats harness the illegal vote and win control of government. Then there won't even be any pretext of trying to give you what you want. The border is open because Democrats and the top of the Republican Party, the business class, WANT IT that way. It's not going to change through the Republicans. Those few mavericks calling for other laws are going to accomplish nothing.

"As for 2006, the issue will be security and safety of the country and its citizens."

For you.
The illegals voting will be voting about immigration.

"Now, you can sit home and bitch with other Pubbies, but if you do, you will be signing your own death warrant if the Democrat vermin get control of the senate and house."

My DEATH warrant?
Not hardly. No matter who controls the government my own personal life will be very little affected.

"All you have to do is look at the track record of the Democrat scum while in power, and you will see no defense of America and the destruction of our intelligence gathering capabilities."

I did well under Reagan.
I did well under Bush 41.
I did well under Clinton.
I am doing well under Bush 43.
I don't expect that to change materially no matter who wins or doesn't win.

"Conservatives sitting on their hands are sealing their own doom. Wake up!!!"

Doom?
DOOM?
What is going to happen?
Are the Mexicans going to kill us?
I'm not in the bottom half of the economy. Even if immigration continues unabated forever, immigrants and overseas folks are not going to be able to affect my particular niche. There is no pressure on ME whether the border's open or shut. Hispanics and I share the same religion, and I speak their language more or less. I don't find them in the slightest bit threatening or alarming. For one thing, I'm French. I don't care if America is an English-speaking Protestant country or a Spanish-speaking Catholic country so long as the reasonable rule of law is preserved, and I don't see any reason to think that it won't be.

I am not going to DIE if Hillary Clinton and the Democrats sweep power and hold it for 50 years. I am not DOOMED no matter what happens. Maybe YOU are, and so you are so much more agitated about it. But I'm not.

When I look out, there are only a few issues I really care about deeply. They have to do with the sanctity of life. I don't like abortion. I don't like the death penalty. I don't like euthansia and assisted suicide. I don't like undeclared war. As far as I can tell, a more Hispanic, Catholic America, if anything, is more likely to favor my viewpoints on these things than the current state of affairs. I most assuredly am NOT doomed, therefore, even if the whole place becomes Mexico Norte.

Here on FreeRepublic, there are a lot of folks who really care VERY PASSIONATELY about this border issue. Many of them feel the pressure of Mexican labor. Others don't like the lawlessness. When I look, very objectively, at the circumstances, I see that neither political party is going to close that border. The GOP never will. They are ultimately the party of big business. Big business likes illegal labor. It's profitable. They like products made by Chinese slave labor: that's profitable too.

Now you're fairly screaming at people to "Wake UP!" and vote for your party. Back at ya, fellah. YOU will be in much greater psychological anguish than I will be under Hillary Clinton. So if YOU don't want her there, then YOU need to start doing all this screaming at the GOP leaders, like Bush, and tell him to Shut The Hell Up about amnesty, etc. He's the one who is taking you off a cliff, not me.

I'm just diagnosing the illness and telling you where the danger lies for you. You're getting mad because I'm telling you that I will let you go right over the waterfall with your idiot leaders rather than vote for them if they don't do what I want.
But I will.
Team Bush has only two problems: foreign policy and domestic policy.
They keep getting it wrong.
They keep making me mad.

I am not REALLY worked up about immigration the way others are, but I do see, clearly, that THIS is the issue that gives the Democrats power, because demographics are votes.

The fact that you're in denial about ILLEGALS VOTING in corrupt district tells me that you're just not quite there. You're living with fantasy contructs of the way things ought to be, as opposed to the way that they are.

So, you told me to "Wake Up!"
Now I'll tell YOU to wake up: throw Bush off the train if he won't close the borders. Throw the Republicans under the truck if they won't reverse Kelo. Push the Republicans off the cliff if they won't stop spending like drunken sailors.
That's pretty much it in a nutshell.
You are very loyal to your party.
I am very loyal to my own belief system. If the Republicans give me what I want, I vote for them. If they don't - and right now they're not - I throw them under the bus. Simple as that.
You want loyalty I'm not going to give.
So, wake up and give me and my ilk what we want, and maybe you'll live.
