Iran-make Weapons Cache Discovered in Iraq
Iran Focus ^ | April 11 2006

Iraqi military forces recently discovered an Iranian-make weapons cache hidden in the city of Tikrit, north-west of Baghdad.

The weapons, which were all new and of Iranian origin, were found hidden in a large well in the west of Tikrit, according to an Iraqi army officer whose comments were reported by Iraqi media.

The United States and Iraqi officials have accused Iran's radical Islamic government of sending agents and arms into Iraq to assist the insurgency.

"I am sure this will be the headline for the NY Times and the lead story on CNN. /sarc"

But why are stories (I know there are more than one of this type) like these not being referenced by the Bush Admin or Rummy or Condi?

I would think that proof like this would help bolster the US position that Iran needs to be dealt with sooner rather than later.

I recommend doing the reverse. Send agents into Iran and stir the blow up their backyard. In other words, hundreds of covert operations into Iran taking out everything they can.

We should encourage the Iraqis to return the favor.

Déjà vu, that's how we put Saddam in the drivers seat to start with lo those many years ago.

I think we need to think this through again. Perhaps we should do the heavy lifting ourselves and let both the Iranians and the Iraqis see a bit of shock and awe in action?

Perhaps a clandestine attack would work best, just be sure to leave no fingerprints à la Carter's Mongolian cluster fornication in the dessert. And for g-d's, keep the CIA out of it, their current capabilities are more suited to dumpster diving then regime change! (I wouldn't trust them to empty the wastebaskets!)

Regards,
GtG
