That being said, I do worry that people are reacting the same way they did to other groups and I think rather then being Racist it's a religious bias. We Catholics laugh about the Supreme Court, but others are not so happy about it.
I can understand your burden over this...
The media truly loves to find anything that supports them...
do they find typical, true Christians/Catholics?
no.. they use sertain Christians/Catholics that help portray the picture they seek to send.....
It can be so discouraging....
I am dealing with this same thing in Nite of Hope...
Many people- when they think of the Homeless- they picture bums on the street with shopping carts, pandering, and drinking from a paper bag.....
this is only 15% of the homeless community....
but it is the picture we have....
39% of them are CHILDREN under 18....
40% are FAMILIES!
85% are TEMPORARILY Homeless and with help- can be off the streets in 3 months- and can even be beyond poverty if they receive help by just being "adopted" by a church family that help them with the dire emergencies they encounter on their journey out of poverty all together...
