This is ironic.
I just recently had to fill out a
13 page security check form,
along with fingerprints,
and a copy of my birth certificate,
for the US Coast Guard Auxiliary,
(all volunteer, i.e. no pay)
which then goes to the Dept of Homeland Security,
even though I've been a member since Oct 2001,
and have worked on base (Station Coos Bay)
every single week since Oct 2001.
I've worked in the radio room,
inputed crew training records
and now do commercial vessel exams.

IF I had not submitted my security form
by 1 JUL 2006 I would have been barred from
being on base with no exceptions even though
I have over 3000 documented hours since Oct 2001.

Gee, if I was only an illegal
I could have avoided all that pesty paperwork
and would be treated above the law!
.
Odd how I still play by the rules
while the vast majority in DC
"protect" the illegals in our country.
You're my hero!
I still get frosted having to prove my eligibility to work in the land of my birth everytime I apply for a new job.
Thank you for your service.
