I am just expressing my belief that no one will penalize a whore further than she has already penalized herself.

They were drunken, immature, testerone-filled, sports guys. They were ripe for the picking. And... a whore and the liberal media got them.
Whether true or not, we have not yet heard from the prosecutor. These are the defense attorneys, each of whom was prepared to argue that his or her client had nothing to do with it even if there was a match.
It's the Moslem world where it's NOT against the law to rape a woman alone.
If you know there can't be a match (and you can know this) you can speak in public with confidence.
The players still may have to account for whatever infractions they might be guilty of when it comes to that party... but this woman should be charged and prosecuted for filing a false report. The fact that there is a racial element here is interesting. Anyone think this is a "hate crime?" I do not believe that a crime should elevated for "hate" ... but if you're gonna have it, it should be applied consistently.
I'm not trying to make a point based on her chosen profession, but I don't think she should be able to file a false report and destroy the lives of a coach, the whole team and certain men in particular.
She deserves to spend some serious jail time. She was trying to commit a fraud on a group and seriously impacted their lives.
I understand what you're saying, but I don't see this as a 'profession' issue.
Let me add that she should be prosecuted if it is proven that she filed a false report.

More importantly, will the press give the players back their innocence and their lives?
I'd seriously doubt North Carolina has any "hate crime" statutes, but stranger things have happened.
Just cause they didn't find any DNA doesn't mean it still didn't happen.
Her husband sued this guy for her loss and won.
He faced a lifetime of working paying for it.

The fellows who attended this party are going to remember it forever ~ their own kids will hear lectures about it quite regularly.
There shouldn't be anywhere. I don't think a crime takes on an elevated significance based on what the criminal is thinking. Having said that, if there is a statute you cannot have a double-standard.
Wade Smith defended Jeffrey McDonald (of Fatal Vision fame) when McDonald was convicted. He was one of the defense attorneys. (For anybody who's interested...)

Attorney Joe Cheshire, who represents one of the team's captains, said the report indicated authorities took DNA samples from all over the alleged victim's body, including under her fingernails, and from her possessions, such as her cell phone and her clothes.
"They swabbed about every place they could possibly swab from her, in which there could be any DNA," he said.
Cheshire said even if the alleged attackers used a condom, it's likely there would have been some DNA evidence found suggesting an assault took place.
He said in this case, the report states there was no DNA on her to indicate that she had sex of any type recently.
"The experts will tell you that if there was a condom used they would still be able to pick up DNA, latex, lubricant and all other types of things to show that — and that's not here," Cheshire said.
I think these guys might lose the case yet.
Still, there's sweat, spit, dandruff, skin flecks, etc. And the defense attorneys are reporting none of that stuff was found either.
Still, we have ONLY the defense attorneys. Our other crime thread from the other weekend, about the HSD guy who was cruising for 14 year old girls on the net, had a cop in Florida reporting the guy had made a full confession and was cooperating fully. Then, the story came out late last week that the cop was now saying the perp confessed to all sorts of stuff as long as the tape recorder was OFF, but when they turned it on, he said something different, which doesn't sound like "cooperation" at all.
It doesn't look good for the complainant here (since she's known to be into dope, alcohol, drunk driving, and making babies with whoever and whenever), but I'm going to wait to see what the DA has to say about the DNA reports. Maybe he has a third interpretation of all this that will change the direction the story is taking.
