I did not convey my thoughts well if that is what you got out of it.
I respect you as a person and can't express enough gratitude to your son who is bravely serving in Iraq. I'm sure that in the real world that you are very nice person and I would have no problem with you.
On the boards though, we just don't get along. Our posting to each other just disrupts the threads. I want to be a postive asset to FR and discussions with you just weren't productive to forum community. They were also unfair to others on the thread as our discussions were a detriment the to thread rather than an asset. To be clear, I'm not blaming you - we just see the world in such a different way that we clash.
Of course you can post to me - it's certainly within the board rules. It's just that I'm not going to make an effort to engage you in a discussion because it just isn't healthy for either one of us.
If you want to challenge one of my posts then I certainly don't mind that all. It wouldn't even matter if I did mind as I certainly don't have the right to tell you which posts you can reply to. It's just that I'm not going to address any of your points. I don't mean this in a negative way toward you but it's a better course of action to take. Life is already full of frustrating things, FR should be a fulfulling experience and not a frustrating one.

I have good relationships with hundreds of freepers, and enjoy mental, political sparring with many of them........recognizing that we are indeed on the same side, but disagree about the details.
Which was why I was completely bewildered by your total shut down. I did not expect it from you, because I don't think of you as a 'kook.'
If this post of yours is an apology, I accept it. JimRob's thread about the real purpose of this forum is on the money. There is a fight to the death going on for this country, and we need all the resources we can muster to win it.
I will gladly fight along side you, if you will allow me to.
