There are alot of OTM's coming in across the southern border. Thosuands of them are from the Mid-East. I expect a lot of potential terrorists are coming across that border as well as through other means.

You are right, we'd best get our heas screwed on correctly collectively. The enemy is coming in and within the gates, in many different forms. If we do not act decisively soon, and either force our representatives to reflect it, or get ones in office who will, there is going to be absolute hell to pay. It may be too late to avoid that in any case...but we still have the time and the ability to prevail as a people, as a culture, and as a way of life that has produced the freest most prosperous nation on erth.

That's what is at stake, and our enemies want to see an end to it.

Also, this morning, I sent an email to Tancredo to let him know that Republicans support his position on illegal aliens, as he's out there all by himself in the senate hearings. I included this comment: Commissioner Spero needs to spend a couple of months living in a border town to get the full impact of what she hasn't done in securing our borders.

Most of the US citizens would have been willing to work for less too (and the rest would be willing if they weren't getting government handouts). But employers can't take the risk of hiring them for less, because anything below minimum wage, and without all the tax/Medicare/SS/unemployment payments, is illegal, and citizens can and will go to authorities with their complaint.

wmfights, you may be interested in this. I know you claimed that the lowering effect of wages was just a myth and that is is easier and cheaper for a busienss to hire a legal citizen so I'd be interested in your take on this.
