When the Minutemen set up shop at the Arizona border last year to call attention to the illegal alien loophole in US Homeland Security, President Bush foolishly chided these brave patriots by calling them vigilantes. Although chagrined at being deserted by the man who has the constitutional responsibility and authority to defend our borders, the Minutemen dug in their heels and persisted. And persisted.
Their Yankee determination to do the right thing was rewarded when President Bush finally sent additional border patrol agents to Arizona. Even the Mexican government was motivated to pay greater attention, at least temporarily, because of the due diligence of heroic Minutemen.
Before the Minuteman took their courageous stand, open border advocates and anti-American liberals insisted it was “impossible” to stop illegal immigration. Best to just accept reality, learn Spanish, and switch to rice and beans as food stables, according to the leftists and Hispanic racists.
Thank God, the Minutemen PROVED illegal aliens CAN be stopped, thereby delivering a great victory on behalf of all American citizens.

Ha - you're probably asking me a rhetorical question, but .... sadly, probably not long. You may have seen - despite the fact that the public passed it (including 47% Hispanic vote) - despite all the negative media and 99% of the power players against it. Since then, the libs in power have done everything they can to undermine it. Now, it is still easier to vote than to rent a movie because there are all sorts of provisions for people without drivers' licenses.
I just read that AZ has an estimated 600,000 illegal aliens living here - out of the 10 - 20 million country-wide.
Here in Louisiana, I read we had about 24,000 illegals. I'll bet you a dollar to a donut they're all down New Orlean's way.
Wow. I'm finding it crazy how many places like Indiana, Idaho, Arkansas are chock-full of illegals. I was even surprised by how many are in Colorado when I started hearing about that a few years ago. They do have that whole sanctuary movement but still...
Between you and me and the fly on the wall, I think 12 million illegals is waaaaaaay too conservative a number. I believe the government doesn't want Americans to develope a case of sticker shock if we knew the actual numbers. But, that's just my opinion.
