First we have to deal with the problem that is fueling this situation - big business. We need to boycott businesses that hire illegal aliens and are making boocoos of money off their cheap labor rates (we all know what is going to happen in the near future; the illegal aliens will form their own companies and beat out competition because they won't pay taxes, unemployment insurance, or health insurance for their employees, therefore they will be able to charge less) If we won't real change we have to deal with big business first and the political whores second who think that the Hispanic vote is the "swing" vote. I bet if no white people voted for him he'd get the message REAL quick. Stand up and fight...get ready to get your hands dirty and do what it takes to preserve our culture and higher standard of life. They are ruining ours and bankrupting all social programs and eventually SS retirement funds at this rate. WE have to act now. Maybe it's time WE have a PROTEST march and show up in millions instead of hundreds of thousands...
I do as much as I can in the boycott department... but so many business and corps are screwing up in so many ways lately it's getting harder to do business with anyone!
I thought I was reading a Hillary article for a moment -
Are you sure it's BIG business that's the problem?
I would guess (and that's all it is) that small business is at least as culpable - there are way more of them, and they are less public - less likely to be audited.
We did not get here overnight. The bad choices that we and the illegals here have made over the last 10 years or so are not going to have easy solutions. However, the silly posturing of rants who simply carp about "deporting all of them and building a wall" or "imposing fines on American businesses that hire them" accomplish nothing.
These are not "solutions." They are not going to be implemented. They will not get traction with the American people...., in fact, they won't even get traction with a majority of American conservatives.
They will, however, confirm the suspicion that among conservatives there is a vocal minority of people who are motivated by churlish, mean-spirited, sour reactionaries who are more than willing to cede as much power as necessary to the fed to preserve TRADITIONS (not freedom, but traditions) embedded in Western civ.
(Sour reactionary instructions: Now is the time to check my "about" page so you can trumpet how long you have been a poster on FR, and how I must obviously be a "troll.")
We must punish the illegals for being here illegally, this is mandated in 26 USC by fines or imprisonment or both. We also need to realize that these people.... WHO ARE HERE ILLEGALLY..., must be dealt with in a way that reflects justice AND MERCY. I am not talking about the "mercy" of modern socialists who define the word by how much money they can scam from you for social programs. I am talking about the "mercy" that acknowledges them as human beings made in the image of God who yearn for freedom and opportunity. With the appropriate fines (justice), we should be seeking to extend this to as many people as possible. We should not be trying to figure out how we can use their legal status and border transgressions to deny these blessings to them.
I think the tomato industry would be a good target for a boycott.
It wouldn't be hard to give up tomatoes and tomato products for a few months and let the growers stew in their rotten tomatoes.
Check out the following article--I think you might agree with me.

The weak man's argument.
The bad choices were made by the illegals and the criminals who employ them. 'We'(as in law-abiding, tax-paying citizens were never given a 'choice' in the matter'.
A boycott shouldn't be so hard to pull-off. They comprise roughly 25% of the workforce in four rather narrow industries.
"justice AND MERCY." That would be returning them home safely to their families where they belong, rather than jailing them (unless they try and come back). PS - Is that you, sinkspur or Dane? And who's this 'we' that you keep referring to. Got a mouse in your pocket?
OK. I'll play your game. I've been here longer, so I'm right.
"They will not get traction with the American people...., in fact, they won't even get traction with a majority of American conservatives."
Perhaps you've not seen the FR poll results related to support for the passage of HR 4437?
Just start jailing those who employ illegals.

Tag! You're it.
No, no, no...you don't get it. You can't have a valid opinion of you are new here. I don't write the rules, I just follow 'em.
I think you are right. The problem comes from overregulation of employment, to hire a man legally takes quite a bit of time, money, and expertise that a small manual-labor business doesn't have. To hire an illegal, all it takes is cash. The bottom line is a legal man can start at about $11/hour minus taxes at the plant, but an illegal can make $10/hour tax free for manual labor.
Oh...
Nobody let me in on that. (When do I get my union card?)
