Some need to be more observant and read a history book. Ever heard of the Berlin wall? Or the wall the Israelis erected? (rolling eyes)

No... That would mean over 60 million. The official figure is 11 or 12 million, which is about 4%. I'd say there's 4-10 % max illegals here. Still too many though.

I agree with you in regard to the military and its role in border security 100%. I'm simply convinced that the GOP is currently a lost cause and conservatives no longer have a voice in government that isn't laughed at.

Why only $10,000 or $50,000 fines? A country with the police power, resources and wherewithal to build a 2000-mile wall along the border certainly can simply shut down any/all businesses found employing illegal aliens.

A country with the police power, resources and wherewithal to build a 2000-mile wall along the border certainly can simply shoot illegal aliens on sight. That would surely show 'em, and make them want to stop right away.

For some in the GOP, it has to do with political contributions from businesses. For the Dems, it has to do with political expediency. One in every three Dem voters is either Black or Hispanic. Since Hispanics are the largest and fastest growing minority, they see more votes in the future and a lock on the political system.
