Nearly 20,000 march in San Diego for immigrant rights ELLIOT SPAGAT Associated Press
SAN DIEGO - Thousands of demonstrators marched through the streets of the nation's largest city on the Mexican border Sunday, demanding Congress abandon an effort to crack down on an estimated 11 million people living in the United States illegally.
Nearly 20,000 people gathered at Balboa Park - home to the San Diego Zoo and a slew of museums - before heading to the heart of downtown and a county administration building, police said. No arrests were reported.

I was there for the counter rally.
There were over 25,000 Mexicans, just disgusting.
We were on Harbor Dr. and most went up the street to Ash
where several hundred Mexicans were already before the thousands marched down 6th to Broadway and over to the Co Adm Bldg. We had some words back and forth.
For those reading this in flyover country, who don't like to read about this, get use to it because it ain't going away.
The Spanish conquistadors continue their conquest of the western hemisphere before the Arabs can take over. We may want to start taking this a little seriously.

Did you watch the news? They showed all the marchers from every perspective and then did a teeny tiny spot on you guys. The marchers made a mess of traffic too!

So .. it's a STAGED march just for show! It's not a heartfelt desire to be AMERICANS.
The local news say 50,000 marched. From being there, I believe it.
Just saw myself on the local news with the counter protesters. Some of us were on Harbor Dr. and some on Ash.
I was there and I am preparing a report. The total was 12000. Most just showed up and then left. The big news is that they used buses from the San Diego Unified School District. I have the video and I will be making it available. Who paid for this rally? This rally was as spontaneous as a old soviet union rally.
The more pressure we keep on Mexico, immigration-wise, the more reformers
inside of Mexico can be emboldened and empowered to scale back monopolists'
abuses down there which keep our own country flooded with economic refugees.

When we figured out that the invaders and their enablers were going to pull a do-over on their offensive marches and this time do it with Americans flags (in hopes that they'll actually fool some people this time), we should have ALL rushed out and bought the stores totally OUT of American flags. Then, the invaders wouldn't have had an American Flag to wave as part of their dishonest propaganda spectacle. Yeah, there would have been a handful of American flags there, or some hand drawn ones, but we could have headed them off if we'd been quick enough and smart enough. < Kicking self really hard >

One law that needs to be passed ASAP is a national law like Arizona's Prop 200. It requires all voters to show valid ID before voting or getting any type of public assistance.
There are a number of people doing just that in the Senate.
Immigrant - another term used to confuse the language. A border-crasher is NOT an immigrant.
The Germans, the Poles, the French, the Irish - came into his country legally. They were called "immigrants".
The Mexican wetbacks who sneak in to the United States under cover of darkness are one with burglars, second story men and thieves. They are called "foreign trespassers" in my book.
Lets not abuse the language. And speak English.
