You never will; it a certain election looser. People want more funding for the NHS not less even though many people are opting for private care to get treatment quickly. If they do this they pay twice once through national insurance out of their wage packet and then again either via private health insurance or by just paying.

Recently dad was advised he needed an MRI scan due to waiting list and fact he over 70 it could have been up to 6 months wait. He paid 600 pounds sterling and had it done within 3 days.

The majority of people will not be willing to change they see healthcare as their right and do not realise how much they are really paying for it both directly and indirectly.

I remember your dad having to do that too.

I hope you don't mind my using the UK or Canadian health program for examples. It's important to keep reminding people why we do NOT want universal healthcare paid through taxes.
